Diaper Creep
🕑 Added 2021-11-19 01:41:26 +0000 UTC“I’m ready!” Melinda chirped cheerfully to Dennis. She flipped her skirt up to reveal the adult diaper taped around her waist. Dennis’ head darted around the car to see if anyone was looking. He quickly motioned for her to get in the car.
“Woah, what are you doing!? Do you want to show the whole world that you wear diapers?” He said. Melinda scoffed at the comment as she got into the car. The diaper compressed from her weight. She felt air squeeze out between her legs. It wafted the sweet scent of baby powder into the front of the car.
“It’s not that big of a deal, Dennis. Loads of people wear diapers.” She responded, grabbing the seatbelt. Dennis shook his head.
“Yeah… if they’re over 70. Not when you’re in your 20s…” He said, his tone seemed strained to Melinda. Instead of attacking his argument, she defended herself.
“Well, we’re going on a long car ride! I didn’t want to have to stop for bathroom breaks.” She said. Dennis shrugged, as the car started moving.
“Yeah… but we’re only driving 30 minutes.” He said.
“That’s a long time to hold it!” She said, feeling confident in her answer. That felt like an eternity to Melinda.
“I guess…” Dennis said. He paused for a moment as he navigated out of the parking lot. He spoke up again after a few minutes. “Didn’t you say you were going to ‘taper off’ your diaper use? I can understand needing them for a couple days when you were sick but…” He said, trailing off, not wanting to finish the sentence.
“But what?” Melinda snapped back. Dennis winced, hearing the
“But… it’s been 8 months, Melinda. You just bought another 80-pack last week. I’m just worried you’re going to start having-“ He said, Melinda cut him off before she finished his sentence.
“That’s not that long, and you don’t have to worry about me ‘developing’ any issues. I just like wearing them for the convenience of car rides or cuddling when we watch movies. Sure, I could cut down on it a little, but I’m only wearing a couple a day. I have complete control of my bladder.” She said, matter-of-factly. Dennis stared ahead at the road for a moment, before turning to his girlfriend.
“Melinda, I think you’re already wet.” He said. Melinda scoffed and shook her head.
“No, I’m not! What are you talking about? I’ve only been in this one for like 15 minutes.” She retorted. Dennis responded quietly.
“I can smell it.” He said, meekly. Melinda furrowed her brow. She looked down at her seat. She pressed her hand against the center of her diaper. She felt the familiar warm squish of a wet diaper. Her face lit up in shock.
“This is what, the fourth accident you’ve had this week?” He continued. Melinda wasn’t concerned about that. Accidents were becoming common place in the past month. Those were only the four she’d told him about anyways. No, what really struck Melinda about it?
The fact she couldn’t surface any feelings of remorse from the accident.

“Alright, I can do this.” Melinda reassured herself. She yanked the pair of pull-ups at her legs. The stretchy material glided across her skin. The feeling of padding between Alyssa’s waist had become familiar. It barely registered with her that it was there.
It was a new day for Melinda. This was the first time she was going to try wearing pull-ups instead of diapers. If she was being honest with herself, it had been a while since she wore underwear this thin. It had been 6 months since she and Dennis broke up. They had split shortly after that conversation. The diapers were a deal-breaker for him. Melinda had tried normal underwear for a brief moment, but it had become so annoying to pay attention to when she had to go all the time. She started wearing diapers again, and that was that.
Without someone constantly on her for wearing, Melinda stopped paying attention to her diaper use. She set it up so that diaper cases were shipped to her house every month. Often, she’d have to get extra just to make it through the last week. In the back of her mind, she knew that this was a lot. It seemed like it was easy to break yet another incontinence barrier she didn’t know existed.
Pants and underwear weren’t an option anymore. It was far too easy for her to wet unconsciously. Even if she tried to focus all of her attention on it, her body had physically lost the ability to stop little dribbles from leaking out. Normally, Melinda wasn’t concerned about it. She felt like she could stop wearing diapers at any point if she wanted. Sure, it might take a week or two to get back into the swing of it. She knew her body.
But leaking through multiple diapers a day, for months on end, can be become an obvious sign of where her control was at. She felt like all she had to do was take a break in pull-ups for some time, and she’d be back to normal.
“I’ll probably leak through the first few. I won’t get discouraged though!” She thought, there was genuine confidence in her about this. She didn’t want to change anything about her day. She wanted the big girl potty to come naturally.
She continued about her day as normal. She already accomplished the first step of changing out of her wet night-time diaper. She walked over to her closet and opened the door. Her eyes scanned across her cardigans and blouses. She didn’t feel like being formal today. It was important to keep things feeling normal. Her torso bent down. Her fingers grabbed a gray shirt from off the floor. She threw it on over her head and walked into the middle of the room.
“I’m done thinking about it. What should I make for lunch? I should finish that tuna salad in the fridge. I don’t know if… *GASP*” Melinda exclaimed. Her right hand pressed up against the back of her padding to confirm the sudden feeling. The back squished a sticky heavy mess.
“I… pooped myself? I’ve only had this on for like a minute!?? I didn’t even… feel it….” Melinda thought. She normally messed her night-time diaper before changing into her first daytime one. Alyssa didn’t think it’d be so routine to unknowingly mess.
“Ooh no…” She groaned, she got on the bed and surveyed the damage. She could still feel pieces slide out. Her left hand instinctively checked the front of her pull-up. The warm squish felt like salt in the wound

“Oh you work at Google?” Melinda said while smiling. She brought the fork full of spaghetti into her mouth. “I knew your profile said you were in the tech field, but that’s awesome. What do you do there?” She asked. Mason felt delighted to elaborate further. Melinda didn’t catch anything after: “Yeah, so I work with-” Her pupils narrowed. She recognized the feeling automatically. Warm dribbles leaked out the sides of her swollen diaper.
“Are you fricken kidding me!? I just changed into this before I left. I’ve only had a glass of wine…” She thought. She had to do something. She was wearing light pants, the slightest drop would make a dark splotch. Thinking frantically, she stood up.
“That means when they need me to… code….” Mason’s voice tapered off. His gaze became transfixed on the center of Melinda’s pants. He could see the trails of pee streak further down her pants. His face turned into disbelief.
“I can explain!” Melinda pleaded, Mason was in a state of shock. He stumbled over his words, but eventually got out:
“Um…. I think you… need to go to the bathroom?” He said, Melinda felt a crushing defeat in her heart. This was her eighth diaper of the day. Not including her future nighttime diaper. Her mind simply wasn’t in the habit of checking anymore. Her crotch felt wet 24/7, 365 days a year. Melinda still felt too horrible in the moment to stay silent.
“I’m sorry it’s just I’m…” She said, pausing for a second. She stopped herself from finishing that thought out loud. It was the truth though. The evidence was right in front of Mason’s eyes. She couldn’t deny it.
“I'm.... not potty trained.” She finished. Melinda couldn’t find any more words. This wasn’t the first date that’d been ruined by a leaky diaper. She knew how it ended. She’d clean herself up in the bathroom, then return to an empty table. Skipping all of that, she just walked out of the restaurant.
She didn’t think about it on the car ride home. Her mind felt numb. It normally did after moments like this. She’d realized recently she was a slave to diapers now. 4 years of heavy use will do that to you. Chronic incontinence can change you psychologically. Melinda didn’t feel like a big kid. She felt exactly like she was. Too little to keep her pants dry.
She tugged her pants off the moment she walked into the door. Her knees hit the carpet after. She crawled around and babbled nonsense to herself. She’d done nothing today to prove she was a capable adult. It’d been the exact opposite. Her thumb glided in between her teeth. It soothed her when it got heavy. These regressive episodes were happening at a higher frequency lately. It felt like she was being little nearly every day now. It’d crept up on her.
She wouldn’t stop it. She couldn’t when it came to diapers.
