Progress Report 9/22/2023
🕑 Added 2023-09-22 23:41:27 +0000 UTCRejoice, my northern hemisphere brethren! Autumn officially begins tomorrow! Here's what I got done this week:
- Moved the "Eyebrows" cateogory to the "Face" tab
- Gave the customizer "zoom" functionality
- Changed "Eye Color" to "Iris Color" in the eye category
- Added "Pupil Color" and "Sclera Color" to the eye category
- Added a "Slit Pupils" checkbox to the eye category
Alright, boring one first: I moved the "Eyebrows" category out of the "Hair" tab and into the "Face" tab. While it can belong in either or, I decided to move it to "Face" since eyebrows play a key part in emotions, which is what the face is all about.
Now for the fun stuff! Let's start with the new zoom feature!
This bad boy was really tricky to implement! In fact, I still don't know how it works! :D I required a LOT of outside help with this one, including but not limited to Chat GPT helping me out with the math homework. Without it, I would have been stuck for literal weeks trying to figure out the math formula to keep the camera in bounds at the different zoom levels!
This zoom feature will help with seeing seeing the changes you're making to areas like the face and nails. I figured this would be a good time to incorporate it, given my present focus on the facial features.
And now for the moment we've all been waiting for: fully functional eye customization!
And let me tell ya, I had to work for this! I basically took all of the work I'd done for the eyes thus far and tripled it. Originally it was just iris color (previously called "eye color"), and then I figured having pupil and sclera colors would be fun. So, I dedicated like 80% of my time this week to making this feature work.
In other words, if you don't think it's fun, I'll send the "SHE HUNGERS" lady from the previous post over to your house to be your sleep paralysis demon. :D
Coming up, I'll be incorporating some new (but far less complicated) features to the mouth sprites. After that, I'll add some new categories, fix some bugs, add an additional feature for randomizing and defaulting... and then it's time for the sprite dump! And I'm all outta dump. |:(

I hope so! Maybe appeasing the giantess before the chase? Cuddles, or something? She's our GF or something in the story... or maybe she isn't... Not sure, but it could be really fun... Maybe a survival minigame where we are stuck to the sole and she keeps walking?
Progress is looking good! Im curious, will there be a foot related mini game in this one similar to Grape Escape?
