Progress Report 8/18/2023

- Created "The List"
- Created 7 customizer sprites for the eyes
- Created 6 customizer sprites for the eyebrows
- Created 1 customizer sprites for the ears
- Created 5 customizer sprites for the mouth
At last, the floodgates have been opened! Art will rain down from the heavens! MY SPRITES WILL BLOT OUT THE SUN!!! HAHAHA!!! Aha!... *Ahem*
So yeah, I finally got the ball rolling on the face sprites. I remember at one point saying that the face sprites won't take as long as the other sprites will, but I'm starting to think I was wrong about that. See, if you draw the clothes a little off, nobody's gonna notice. It's cloth. But if you draw the face a little off? Hoo boy, it's gonna look wrong! It tends to take me a while to figure out why; sometimes the eyes are too close together, other times they're too far apart, or the mouth is too low, eyebrows are too high, pupils are too big... I've got the artistic eye, but the eye doesn't know how to use its words so I have to guess until it looks right.
Fortunately, I have the nose and ears to sorta measure things out since they don't move around. Ears will eventually have additional sprites like the rest of the face, but I can always use the default, human ears as reference.
These sprites haven't been added into the game just yet; I intend to finish off all the facial features before adding them in, which shouldn't be too long at this rate. There are only so many sprites for the face.

I'll admit, this took some time to set up and beautify. Given how incredibly large the list is going to end up being, however, I'd say it was time well spent! Feel free to look through it at any time -- I'll try to remember to add a link to it with every progress report going forward. You may even catch me editing it real time!
Anyhoo, that about wraps it up this time. I'm gonna change my own face sprites to stuff it full of Taco Bell! I'll see you guys again next week!
