Now with that out of the way, time for an update on the Run From Me contest! Sadly, there weren't any submissions. However, that's perfectly alright! For one, it got me to make some concept art for the game which helped out quite a lot in several ways. Additionally, one fine individual offered a goldmine of potential ideas.
Before I continue, I should come clean about something: I haven't been all that into Run From Me like I was with Grape Escape. I kept procrastinating with drawings and 3D modeling hoping some kind of inspiration would hit me, but I couldn't muster the same level of imagination and passion. I was still more than willing to give my 100% on the project and make it the best that I could, but it may not have had the same charm.
This is how I felt until two days ago when this super amazing person sent me a bunch of ideas. One idea above all the others just clicked. Suddenly my brain was firing on all cylinders coming up with one idea after another to go along with what they'd suggested, and I felt that fire inside me that I had with Grape Escape!
I'm making the executive decision to go with this idea. I know this has big potential for fun and charm all over the place, and it just feels right to me!
Run From Me's new direction:
The game will take place in a fantasy setting like that of Dungeons and Dragons. A group of brave heroes seek to destroy an ancient evil (that you'll be able to customize) that has just been released. Things go wrong, the ancient evil becomes unstoppable, and now the heroes are running for their lives!
The main change here is that you're now controlling not one, but an entire group of people to dodge the feet of the evil (or just misunderstood?) giantess. I'll need to play with the movement mechanics to make sure they're not too confusing or overwhelming.
Each hero will offer some ability to help your party escape the giantess. However, should a hero be crushed, that benefit is lost for that run. An upgrade system for the heroes is very viable as long as I don't get too carried away with the art again.
There's still a lot of unknowns here (including the name, which may change before the end), but I'll cover them as we move forward. I'm really excited about this, and I can't wait to show you guys what all is buzzing around in my head! This is gonna be loads of fun! :D
I'm gonna begin documentation to get my ideas on paper, and then I'll get back to prototyping! But first... I have my own ancient evil to destroy, and its name is hunger. My sacred weapon is a bag of Taco Bell. It'll be a battle to end all bathrooms. I'll see you guys again next week!

puntastic! Mages deserve to be stomped out! Magic is just too obviously over powered and makes it dumb... I bet their weak bones snap before the foot is fully on the ground xD

The sheer idea of how taco is supposed to taste makes me hate them... I did eat Tex-Mex tacos and I cannot say I liked anything about them... Turkic Kebab is much superior and if that makes me an enemy of everyone who likes Tacos... I guess none of them deserve to be my friends! I will not keep trying different types of Tacos however... That is like telling me I just didn't have the right ice-cream after I say "I don't like sweet or cold food" and that is exactly how telling you that the idea of taco does not appeal to me is... Any taco, that is a taco, will not be something I like... because I don't like the idea of how taco is supposed to be... I bet if you put stuff into it, that makes it no longer a taco, I might like it, but that won't be a taco anymore... It will be just a bunch of wrapped food instead. I am set on this as much as I can and I will let you know, that ONLY people in the US argue about this... Not even Mexicans care if you say "I don't like Tacos" they will instead offer other Mexican food... I want a spicy and salty Kebab, rather than a sweet and sout Taco with a bit of salty taste here and there... No... Not getting a Taco anytime ever again!

Haha, to each their own, Atlan! :P This does make us mortal enemies, however. Tacos Tuesdays for life! >:D I can't make any promises on specific customization options, but I'll try to include enough options to make a giantess that resembles everyone's favorite characters/OCs. :) And agreed, Bombur -- there's quite a variety of tacos out there with different ingredients and different tastes. Where one type falls flat, another could exceed expectations!

Before one passes judgement on taco... One must ask themselves if taco was worthy of one's judgement. Those are my wisdom words for the night. Love the ideas Atlan! If you ever have the opportunity to try real Mexican style tacos or American south western Tex Mex style tacos which are typical here I would hope you would give them a second chance!

Mostly good... got my first taco ever... hate it xD Sorry... Hope you don't hate me for it xD I hope there will be some very interesting customization options... like making Slaanesh for example, or Yenasha (my OC) or something similar... Love the direction you went into and love the idea of multiple characters! Like an RTS game or maybe multiplayer option? How about co-op and versus multiplayer options?
