🕑 Added 2021-01-01 23:24:24 +0000 UTC2020 was quite the ride, but we made it through! Looking past all the glaringly bad things that happened, I would actually chalk this up to a pretty decent year for me. I've been incredibly fortunate to be unaffected by the pandemic so far (all family and friends are healthy and doing well), I've had an amazing start on Patreon thanks to the amazing support from you guys, my very first game is nearly complete, I've made some great friends in the size community, and a meteor didn't hit the planet and destroy all life as we know it! :D
So, time to set a New Year's resolution. This isn't something I normally do since I like to focus on personal development year-round, buuuuut it's fun to join in on the fun. :)
My new year's resolution is to continue improve myself as a creator. Better rewards for patrons, higher accuracy with deadlines, faster and more consistent work speed, a tighter grip on feature creep, and having even more fun making games!
If I can improve on half of these even a little, I'd consider this year a success. Self-improvement is neither easy nor fast, and it's crucially important to remember that when you're challenging yourself with resolutions. If you celebrate the small victories, they'll add up into something far greater. Just look at atoms, one of the smallest things imaginable -- without them, there would be nothing. Yet here we are, living not only amongst them, but as a part of them, too. Just think of all the possibilities with your own building blocks.
Now get out there and make the most of your world!
