Far Beyond the Sun - Now Patreon-Exclusive
🕑 Added 2024-12-13 23:52:51 +0000 UTCSince someone from Yngwie's side decided to take down my Youtube video, I'm uploading it here for Patrons only.
You may have seen my update on Youtube - Yngwie Malmsteen or his copyright holders made the call to take video down, and now my channel has a copyright strike. I’m really bummed about it because I worked very hard on that video, and I love sharing content that helps you all out. It’s a shame when things like this happen.
So, I'm re-uploading here for Patrons only to enjoy. Thank you so much for your support!
Here's the original post:
FINGER POSITIONS
Just a heads up — Yngwie plays this in many different ways during live shows, so there might be some variations. I did my best to capture the finger positioning accurately, going by some live performance videos and by listening to studio version.
PICKING SPEED
While I’m more comfortable with legato-style playing than at intense speeds like Yngwie, I wanted to tackle this request because his influence on my playing has been immense! My picking speed is still a work in progress, so I plan to revisit this piece again in a few years to keep refining it.
EDITED MY BEST PARTS
This was a tough one to crack, so I recorded the entire playthrough a few times, and edited the best parts to keep things as accurate as I possibly could.
PRS vs FENDER
Also, I apologize for not playing with a Fender scalloped fret guitar (Malmsteen edition). We reached out to Fender for a sponsorship but didn’t hear back. But seriously, this PRS is an absolutely amazing guitar, especially for those on a budget.
Thanks for all the comments on the sneak peek I had posted. Hope you guys play along!

Thanks Mr Tabs. Yngwie copywriters are known to be ruthless

It would be awesome to also upload on Patreon the hotel california video, since on YouTube it was also taken down

That was awesome! Great job. I can't imagine the hours to lock that one down. And where did you get that shirt? Thanks!!!

An odd decision, did they say specifically why, since you can challenge a copywrite strike, it seems like you would have a good case to make, seeing as this is the same format as all your other videos

Thank you!! Sorry you had to remove it from YouTube. You’re playing on this is amazing.
