Finally - Yngwie - Far Beyond the Sun
🕑 Added 2024-11-15 16:18:53 +0000 UTCHere it is!
FINGER POSITIONS
Just a heads up — Yngwie plays this in many different ways during live shows, so there might be some variations. I did my best to capture the finger positioning accurately, going by some live performance videos and by listening to studio version.
PICKING SPEED
While I’m more comfortable with legato-style playing than at intense speeds like Yngwie, I wanted to tackle this request because his influence on my playing has been immense! My picking speed is still a work in progress, so I plan to revisit this piece again in a few years to keep refining it.
EDITED MY BEST PARTS
This was a tough one to crack, so I recorded the entire playthrough a few times, and edited the best parts to keep things as accurate as I possibly could.
PRS vs FENDER
Also, I apologize for not playing with a Fender scalloped fret guitar (Malmsteen edition). We reached out to Fender for a sponsorship but didn’t hear back. But seriously, this PRS is an absolutely amazing guitar, especially for those on a budget.
Thanks for all the comments on the sneak peek I had posted. Hope you guys play along!

How do I get a discount for the tabs? There doesn’t seem to be anywhere on musescore which recognises that I’m a paid Patreon member. Re previous message -The atp5 files also sorted themselves )

Not only didn't you have a scalloped strat, you didn't play on the hood of a red Ferrari! SHEESH! That was an amazing display of dedication and skill! Great video as always! Thank you telling me about the music software for building up speed. This piece is more accessible to my skill level.

Hi, sorry I can’t find where to message you directly on here. I have signed up so I can download your amplitude tone settings - but when I download the amplitude file, it is trying to open musescore on my Mac instead and says “bad format”. Do you know why this might be happening? Do the links work properly etc?

Did you have to change the font on the tab to be able to fit so many notes on screen at one time? 😄
