Empire Strikes Back Reimagined!
🕑 Added 2020-08-20 23:13:23 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
We have a new video for you today that may require some backstory. Last year, a Youtube channel uploaded a video titled "Star Wars Reimagined" featuring an updated version of the New Hope lightsaber duel between Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. It presented a fight influenced by the choreography and jedi powers of newer Star Wars media, and the film making techniques of Michael Bay. It was fun and harmless, but it pulled on a thread that got us thinking about all the other ways the original films should be updated based on everything from the prequels and beyond. Thus, our version of Reimagined was born.
Since then we partnered up once again with spectacular Darth Vader impersonator Jesse Gomez to do a sequel, but the pandemic hit and suddenly it didn't feel like the right time. Now the pandemic is more or less normal life and there is no right or wrong time for comedy. So we finished Reimagined 2 and we feel like it's better than the first one.
We'll have some more updates on FFC, Ep 7-9 and other projects soon. Enjoy!
Love,
Craven + Zak

This was incredible!

Dear god, if this threw any more shade at the prequels it could start an ice age. Hilarious, fantastic work.

Ok, I need these score edits.

This video is like the version of Star Wars we'd get if the fandom was in charge and I am extremely glad it exists

Genius! Absolute perfection! I have a confession...I too thought that spinning was cool! It was the 80's, spinning was all the rage! Still working on my force projection. Got as far as giving Palpatine a wedgey from 2 million light years away. Much to learn I have.--You guys rock! Niko D.- Colorado Springs, CO. (and, one of the first kids to stand in line for Star Wars when it was released in San Diego so many years ago) My Grandma thought I'd enjoy the movie. She was right! Long live the OG Star Wars Geeks!-LOL
I too believed spinning was a good trick!

So good as usual!

You guys nailed it again. Lando's motivations make more sense. Vader's speech is more poignant. And Boba Fett's retort to Vader is *ice cold*.
Needed an extra line at the end when talking about Leia on the Tantive IV, "after I pursued her from Scarif..." for maximum exposition.

Brilliance. Glorious brilliance!

Becoming a General in the Empire is simple if you have good listening skills.

How fucking amazing is it that you're getting an old man like me to look at SW with fresh eyes, seeing possibilities I didn't know existed? Also -- I never noticed that David Prowse's helmet was kinda floating in that gantry scene.

God I loved your work! Ruining all my childhood memories hahaha
