🕑 Added 2020-01-20 15:32:52 +0000 UTCHey everyone! The podcast is back with episode 20. We spend some time detailing some project updates, then we tear into Rise of Skywalker. If you’ve been on Discord then you’re already familiar with our feelings, but we’ve had more time to think about it since then. Enjoy!

The love for Spaceballs is real. I'm really happy you guys hated The Rise of Skywalker as much as I did. I chalked it off to the fact that I saw it at Alamo Drafthouse and had too many beers, but I thought it was just terrible. So, so many things wrong with it. And totally agree that Rian Johnson actually tried to do something interesting and different and was just unfairly shat on by the fan base as a result (and then totally ignored by Abrams.)
Gotta say I can't disagree more about everything last Jedi/Rian Johnson related, Empire reception, critic/audience relations, the Russian bot BS, or criticism of things Abrams did that Rian Johnson did worse, but I'm still happy to be in this community and will continue to support your awesome content

Nice, I really like TROS but I love your analysis and tear-down. As you said, if you look at the saga holistically none of it makes sense. BTW some dude mentions ships evading turbo-lasers in the OG Star Wars.
