Yay! <a href="https://blog.patreon.com/not-rolling-out-fees-change/">https://blog.patreon.com/not-rolling-out-fees-change/</a>

Although I do agree, it's a kick in the balls for the $1 folks who are on a budget and just really want to support. Imagine a 38% surcharge on your sandwich

I know this is important to you, to other creators, and to your Patrons and I mean no disrespect... but I don't really care - I'll support regardless of whatever bullshit hoops we need to jump through. If there's a better way to support than Patreon, point me to it and I'll go do that instead.

This makes me only 289% more human than 300 humans :/

Bruce Johnston

I focus my efforts on only a few creators, so this doesn't impact me much, but I can see how it would really suck for the $1 pledges.

Dollar a month? No problem. A dollar and thirty-eight cents? SEE YOU IN HELL, PATREON BASTARDS.

Auralnauts

If fluctuated month by month. That's why this is supposed to be such a great deal. No fluctuation and everyone knows what to expect every month.

Happy to support you guys any way that's best for you.

This is what is pissing me off too. We shouldn't get charged multiple times for supporting multiple creators. I would rather PayPal Auralnauts directly at this point.

Maybe when <a href="https://hatreon.net/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://hatreon.net/</a> comes back?

Beezchurgr

I'm sticking around (because you guys are awesome and why wouldn't I), but I'm sorry to say, I have to reduce my pledge. Hopefully Patreon realizes this change is a bad idea, but I won't hold my breath.

Just keep making great stuff!

I’ll keep my pledge. It’s still worth it.

Before this change, how much did Patreon charge you? Was there still a 35c charge per pledge, just that you were the ones paying it?

David Anderson

The 3% doesn't bother me, but the 35c per pledge is BS. That works out for me to be double the impact because I support a number of creators, yet there is only ONE CHARGE on my paypal account, not many charges, so that overhead is a bit onerous. It works out overall to be a 10% increase. But I guess I don't mind because it eventually goes to you and others eventually like yellow warm trickle down economics.

Bill Scurry

This deal is RAW.

I can appreciate the weird spot this puts you in. It's nice to know that you're thinking of how this affects your fanbase, which in turn is why we continue to support you despite never returning my calls and pretending like you don't see me, BUT I KNOW YOU SEE ME. WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET ME LOVE YOU? WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET ME IN?

I'll keep my pledge at the level it is at, but if you find an alternative avenue, let us know. Keep up the fantastic work!

Can you lower your reward amounts by the fee? So the Patrons still pay the same amount, and you still get the same amount? or does patron only allow integer rewards?

Patreon doing this is annoying of course, but it won't keep me from supporting auralnauts, we need to fight the copper together.

You guys are just awesome! Thank you for being so accommodating. I'll stay and I hope, many others do aswell. Although this whole thing Patreon's doing seems a bit fishy. It sucks that the creators have to pay the price for it.

Auralnauts

I can see why you'd feel that way, but it's actually a straight up remix of Tower of Garba from the original NES Rygar.

I'll be staying of course but it would be great if this change could be reverted.

Graham Dallas

Keep doing what you are doing, your pledge from me is safe, but agreed bit of a dick move by Patreon

Ninja Tweak

I get a strong Mass Effect vibe from this music (moreso ME 1, but that's a good thing)

I fully support this entire post.
