Great discussion on Go. Also i found it so annoying how Devindra reviewed the movie with todays cultural standards so much , looking at it from todays lenses. With that type of opinion , we might as well disown all the 70s crime movies , the movie taxi driver is full of assholes and bad people doing shitty things , it’s a movie, escapism and seeing things from another view point , even if the people are assholes. Go is about a bunch of young people doing dumb things and getting into trouble , it’s not trying to have a deep Message or be Pulp fiction . Idk how many times you have to say it’s not as good as pulp fiction , we get it . It’s fine if he didn’t like the movie but just criticize the context of the film , not our culture was bad in the late 90s. Glad that Jeff and some of the other guys pushed back on those some of this points, made for a good discussion .

I’ve been to one concert alone. It was general admission. While the bands were playing it was completely fine and I had fun. I did feel awkward in between because I had no one to chat with.

I am surprised by the difference between concerts vs cinema and theatre. I have been to loads of concerts by myself (yes general admission - i.e standing, not seated). I have travelled interstate to go to a band I like, or when travelling for work I check out what concerts (and theatre) are on. Because I travel for work I have eaten alone in restaurants countless times - often listening to podcasts, I have lost count of the times I have noticed people looking at my while I chuckling away to something Jeff has said..
