Maybe the interview was cancelled when word got out that Jeff would NOT be there.

I think he cancelled because the movie did not do well and his tweets about DC caused a bit of controversy. I think you would have gotten the interview if it had been scheduled a week before the movie release date , when they were still in selling mode for the movie. Nobody wants to promote a movie after it bombed.
