About the upcoming future.

I just said minutes ago on Twitter that some things IRL happened. But, to be more precise, they are about to happen, in about 4 days. So allow me to tell you:
Most of you may be unaware, but I'm a doctor, hence the Doctor Sexo nickname in my Twitter bio as well as in the URL here. For almost three years I've being working at an institution, most of the time in a program made to attend patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart failure and so on, something I'm fine with as it's really close to the medical specialty I would like to practice in the future.
Up until this next May 31st I've enjoyed of good working conditions, specially regarding the time I have scheduled for each patient: 30 minutes. As I work from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm (Mondays to Fridays) I get to attend 14 patients on the shift. However, due to changes in management those good days will be gone starting June 1st.
The time allotted for each will be reduced to 20 minutes from that day onwards. That allotted time is not enough to give proper attention to most of these patients. Also such changes will increase the workload to 21 patients on a single shift, which also will increase the related stress, which is already high enough.
Such conditions are completely unfair, unhealthy even. With some other colleagues we've started to take action to protest and fight against those. Legal action, and a strike even, may come in the near future.
Despite all that, and because all the legal process might take about a month or so (hopefully ending in our favor), I've already decided that I won't work a single day in those unfair conditions. Although it was a hard decision and it pains me to do so (I'm giving up a stable job and regular monthly income as well as all benefits defined by Colombian law that comes with a formal work contract), this next May 31st I'll be submitting my letter of resignation. The aforementioned collective action as well as conversations about my decision to quit has got me busy and it has consumed a lot of energy these two weeks.
I won't work as a doctor anymore starting June 1st. And I will focus on my drawings as well as studying to apply for the medical specialty admission exams, as I hope to be an endocrinologist one day.
I have the current privilege to live with my parents, so it has always given me some leeway. Anyway, I want my drawings to become my primary source of income as it was my soon to be former job. I want to increase my production of drawings to feature on Twitter and here, which means also improving my work speed, something that I hope I finally get to do.
I will begin to accept commissions as well. In fact, some time ago I accepted a commission from one of you patrons, that I will begin really soon. At the moment I thought of it as a chance to experience how it is to do them, but now I will open them in the following days, as they will me help me get the income I want, at least for the time being.
I'll take this sudden change in my life to improve as an artist and grow much more than before. There's already 8 of you here on Patreon despite actual limitations that came from my medical practice, so I'm optimistic. Here's hoping for your continuous support and for more art that I enjoy making and you watching. Please have some patience while all of this gets sorted out, this storm I'm facing will end soon. After that, it'll be time to grab that pencil again.
