Altering tobacco liveries based on race location is a brilliant move. McLaren used to run West cigs, but would replace the word 'West' on the sidepods with their driver's names, so it'd say Mika or David in the same font and style of the branding. Marlboro on the Ferrari got cleverer and used holding companies, or the shape/colours on the car. Tobacco on F1 cars is still a thing, they've just gotten cleverer at it. In MotoGP, Gauloises was simply adjusted to Go!!!!!!! so it'd take up the same space and again in the same font. You know its selling you French smokes, but it's being clever about it!

I have been to an Indy race at an oval. It was Charlotte and the race was cut shot due to a tire and debris launching into the stands killing people, but the first few laps were pretty cool. Edit: Realized this might be a good topic for a episode. Short story Charlotte has a quad-oval track that NASCAR races and which Indy raced at from 1997 to 1999. What stopped them from racing there was the a crash sent debris in to the grandstands at corner 4 killing 3 people. Ovals in the US had to redesign the fencing because of the accident. Like I said I was there. I was a basically at the start finish line. I was only 7, but you don’t forget a wheel flying into the stands everyone screaming and understanding you just saw people die. They were only on lap 61 so the race had hardly started. I remember standing around in the stand my parents not knowing if they were going to restart the race after the red flag. Eventually they announced people had died and out of respect they were calling it. The walk to the lot we parked stands out in my memory, everyone was so quiet. We have all experienced leaving a sports event and how loud it is, but it seemed like no one really knew what to say.

Yeah it fucking sucks that until this season hamilton wins effortlessly most of the time but at least the man isn't a casually racist white sex pest edgelord. I'd like to propose a new rally league where the only vehicles allowed are stock city buses currently in use with a major city's public transportation system.
