The Zen Reaction

That is an interesting choice. I am sure it was a surprise for manga readers. Thanks Zabon, take care!

Telling you that Hawks was a double agent wasn't revealed right away in the manga like it was here in the anime. I think it's much more interesting wondering what his intentions are like in the manga than being told outright that he's not really trying to work with the villains. Makes the arc much more dramatic. Here it just feels like they didn't have confidence in the audience.

Meeting the past holders of OFA!! Having Deku take on this kind of “ending” role and the whole thing about the singularity point?? Weird!!

In this episode, Deku meets the past Avatars! I mean... holders of One For All... it's oddly similar though. Jokes aside, I like that they didn't drag out the mystery of Hawks' true intentions. By making it clear early on we get to watch his actions from a much different perspective than if we didn't know his intentions. Plus, it develops Hawks in a much more interesting way. Also, last season during the work study, some of the students called Aizawa by his name instead of Eraser Head. He then corrected them saying to use his hero name when they are working. It gives a little insight into the whole system of hero names. From what we can assume, its basically like a celebrity name, which makes sense given that heroes are basically celebrities in MHA.
