Monthly Expansion - Familiar Shelter
🕑 Added 2021-09-23 13:00:32 +0000 UTCThe one thing I've had an issue with in Apothecaria is coming up with things to do during downtime. The rest of the game has a good clear structure that the sudden freedom often leaves me (and other folk) a little lost. In my playthroughs, I've used the downtime to fix up an old bicycle I found by the loch (which inspired the Projects in Tinker's Troubles), visit the Demon in Hero's Hollow, or explore High Rannoc but I feel it could use something more guided.
I loved the idea of being able to rescue a familiar who has, somehow, lost their witch and I wanted to flesh that out more. So, in this downtime focused expansion you'll have the chance to volunteer at the Familiar Shelter, exploring the grounds, helping with the various tasks, and earning the trust of the various familiars.
Once you've completed all the tasks for a familiar, they will use their special ability to help you :)
Each task takes 1 of your Downtime segments of which you have 6.
Oh, and because I'm gearing up for the Apawthecaria: Poultice Pounder Adventure Kickstarter, I haven't had the chance to do the art for this expansion but I will be going back and putting in the images as soon as I can get the time.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!
