alt text: a six legged otter-like alien wearing a purple waistcoat adorned with geometric shapes floats and a headset mic floats in a water filled spaceship. The otter is holding a spherical computer that projects a digital display of the ship's computer system. The walls of the spaceship are transparent and show a bright nebula behind.
Hey everyone, I was too excited and needed to share this with someone! The first piece of art for For Small Creatures Such As We just came through and I love it.
This cute little critter is the example Aquaphile used in the zine to show the sort of adaptations needed for aquatic and water-loving species and to show the different styles of technology that may be needed for species with different hands to us.
Hopefully the Kickstarter does well and I can commission more great art like this to show off other crew traits like my proposed idea for a hive mind alien fungi crew mate or a photovoric crew mate's lunch.
Either way, you can follow the Kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/diamondblood/for-small-creatures-such-as-we

Not gonna lie, I would have backed this for that adorable art alone.

Blimey, now don't I feel daft for asking, haha! (P.s. insta-back for FSCSAW) (P.p.s. hope the migraines have subsided)

Hi James, the Umbra expansion is coming in just a few minutes :)

Hey Anna, sorry to semi-hijack the discussion - but is the Umbra additional content still in the works for Jan, or has it been shelved for another month - which would be understandable? :)

Absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see more x
