RISE: Conquest Part 1
🕑 Added 2021-11-29 17:29:04 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
As promised, the first 3 Realms can now be invaded and conquered! And I've even included a little sneak peek at the back of the book for how they might interact with the complete Conquest Expansion when it arrives.
This one was interesting to design as offered a few new challenges with each Realm having to convey a unique flavour in its Discoveries and in the things that you can find in it. For me the most interesting unique mechanic was the Relocator Room which you can build after you conquer The Machine. This Room lets you move a Room as this complicated machine cuts it out of the stone and moves the entire thing to an empty Grid Space of your choice. This really switches up the strategic aspect of RISE and I'm interested to see how that gets used in the wild.
Enjoy and let me know what you think :)

In a more general life update, there isn't going to be a monthly expansion in December. With all the holidays and deadlines coming up and the fact that I've been getting stress induced migraines for the past fortnight, I need some time to recharge.
I'm not going to leave you lot hanging though and I will post behind the scenes stuff about For Small Creatures Such As We as I get that prepped for Zinequest and any fun stuff I put together that I can share.
Obviously, if you want to pause your pledge during December, feel free, no judgement here. We all have presents to buy and bills to pay. If you do keep your pledge going, know that I will raise a glass to you on Yule (21st December) to celebrate you and the peace and comfort you provide.
