I had to look it up- so Annette Funicello was most popular in the "beach party" era, around the mid 60's. This episode came out 1989, so that's a 25 year gap between 1964 and 1989. This episode of review crew came out in 2025, reviewing something from 1989, a gap of 36 years. The Annette reference is FAR more topical at the time of release of the Super Show than this review crew is to Super Show.

Annette Funicello wasn’t just any Mouseketeer, she was THE Mouseketeer. She “developed” into a woman literally before viewers eyes. Then to show up in 60s Bikinis?! Holy fap before internet. Dad had Playboy, we had Saturday Afternoon movies. Pre-Baywatch - Annette Funicello was a TV pioneer and the dream girl next door.

My brother and I just re-watched the OG 90s Super Mario Bros movie with Bob Hoskins and John Lequizamo I loved it as a kid and I still loved it as a 30 year old man Yes it takes a lot of creative liberties but it's a very fun movie and, I think, a creative take on a story with very limited lore (since at the time only 2D Mario existed) although it did very poorly at the box office If you guys watch it I predict that: -Emily will be obsessed with Mario's girlfriend and/or Big Bertha from the Boom Boom Bar -Murph will be upset about lore inaccuracies -Caldwell and Jonk will love it

Chef here: leftover pizza is best luke warm. Do not refrigerate for as long as possible before Ziploc. Once it's been refrigerated microwave for 1 minutes then transfer to a toaster oven at 450 you preheated while it microwaved and do another 2 minutes. Crispy crust and hot toppings. Just saying because Emily (I love you) said microwave pizza is perfect. Kinda wrong. Love all you guys
