Hey I’m late to this, but I’m a big MTG guy too and have some recomendations for Murph and Emily as I enjoy playing weird decks: Emily: -Check out Ur Dragon for your dragon deck, it’s 5 color and it’s such an awesome way to play dragons, it has eminence which makes all dragons cost one less even when it’s in the command zone - you might like John Irenicus. He’s black blue and his whole thing is at your end step you give your opponents a creature and they cant attack you, can’t be sacrificed, but must attack every turn. You essentially give people creatures with crazy downsides and force them to keep them! Murph: -Yusri fortunes favor might be my favorite deck I think you’d vibe with. You essentially gamble your life with coin flips every time he attacks to draw cards, and if you win 5 in a row you get to play everything for free for the turn. You either win the game or go out in a blaze of glory, it’s amazing. Love you guys are getting into EDH, it’s my favorite magic format!

Maybe there will be another comment thread if they do the mixed bag, but I finally thought of my “hear me out” food. Take iceberg lettuce, separate out a big crunchy leaf (washed ofc). In the center, around the “spine”, put white granulated sugar. Roll it up like a cigar, crunch into it and enjoy! It was something my dad made us as kids. My dad grew up in the 40’s/50’s, apparently his dad did this when he was a kid as well. Maybe you have to be a sugar loving kid to enjoy this, but I remember the texture and crunch of the sugar and lettuce being really nice.

One afternoon, when her dad’s friend had been watching us for a while, her dad came back from the shops, and put down his shopping. My 'hear me out' is so specific and so much work that it's not worth doing but hear me out is BMR, Bread, Meat, Ranch. Ranch has to be homemade Meat is up to you, a nice turkey always hits the spot but be adventurous (except for honey ham it's garbage) And then finally the bread is the French bread that you buy at the store. Grinch campaign I made for the holidays this year - pc’s are sucked into a winter wonderland demiplane where all winter holiday magic/characters/events all exist. PC’s are introduced to le grinch as he enlists their help to save the realm. The grinch in this story is confined to a wheelchair as he can no longer function normally due to his enlarged heart. His magic is fading as the good deeds he’s done since saving Christmas the first time continued to cause his heart to grow, slowly killing him. He is too weak to take on the coming danger alone so he sends Cyn (Cindy Lou Who) along with the party to the North Pole where a warlock has incapacitated Santa, created a puppet dictator, and plans to summon an evil god to destroy the realm… teehee

There was a back-to-school commercial for Staples in the late 90’s and early 00’s where a dad dances around Staples buying school supplies for his clearly miserable children while “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!” plays in the background. Love the idea of an orc arc. I had a running mental bit when playing shadow of Mordor; I would farm orcs vulnerable to stealth and kill their rivals so they rose to positions of power (and could then be easily killed). Head canon is that all these orcs would meet and casually drop that they recently got a new life coach, and everyone else is like 'oh no way, me too'. Something really nice about people really easily manipulated finding out they've been manipulated and getting revenge.

MeeMaw, Ulfgar, and Lucanis had an adventure in The Astral Sea in C1 that never got talked about. I’d love to see that run as a one shot with Emily playing MeeMaw, Jake playing Ulfgar, and Caldwell playing Lucanis. That, and a one shot about the Boobs day in the Elemental Chaos.
