In response to what Emily said about telekinesis, I played a bard once who took telekinesis with magical secrets. Telekinesis works particularly well with bards in my experience, because it’s all skill check based, so you get to add your jack of all trades half proficiency bonus to all your spellcasting ability checks, you can use cutting words against your opponents’ strength checks, and since it’s skill check based, enemies with legendary resistances won’t have a reliable counter, and even high strength enemies will be rolling plain strength checks instead of athletics check which are more likely to add proficiency. Then you get high enough level to combine it with glibness, it’s basically impossible to roll below a 22/23.
