Imagine working at a McDonald’s and all the sudden a random man starts working at the cash register while the employ says, “This is my fast-food chain too!” And just sits down and eats a Big Mac.

What an amazing telling. What do I love about this setting? It's all the monsters you fight in dnd but now they're normalized, they're in their monster city. I loved Franky becoming a friend to a hag, a vampire benefactor who knows kindness, ghouls that run a business.

This might be the best single episode y’all have produced of anything since the King Dragon fight. So effortlessly atmospheric, equal parts hilarious and spooky and emotional. Put listening to this away for a bit cause I didn't want it to end [and was getting into my rewatch of the first arcs of c3], but it was worth the wait!! Really hope we see more of Dungeon Docent Emily messing with the Vantasmos eventually! (And sounds like y'all do too lol.) Also, a rose to Murph cause listening to Frankie this episode was heartbreaking, like, his kindness to Able Miss Mabel at the end, and that decision about Trudea... cathartic stuff my man. Also another rose (to Caldwell probably?) cause I just realized Twanc/the Vantasmos have their own lil d20 emblems like other pcs!! Love how their initials were worked into the designs!!

I love Emily's worldbuilding so much! I have a feywilde adventure coming up in a homebrew D&D game where a major archfey NPC can weave the night itself, and her sisters the moon and the stars. They're all the humanoid-fey offspring of a giant spider that weaves fate and story itself. I think I'm gonna bung a moonweaver bird and spinning magical spiders in for sure. Emily is a phenomenal DM(/DD) You crafted this world so expertly and Murph Caldwell and Jake played their characters incredibly (Mavid might be my favorite character) I am also so happy that this is going to be continuing in the future i would love to see a longer campaign by Emily.
