This was a lot of fun, but I don't know if Baldur's Gate 3 makes for good short form content. It's a huge game that is fun to watch people explore and make choices so playing it for an hour at a time might not be ideal.

For me it’s that all their content is so well edited and produced, that this doesn’t really match up to the rest of the content. Maybe we’re all just spoiled by the top quality content they usually put out. That on top of literally starting the game for the very first time means that there’s no way Murph was going to both learn how to play and get much content within the one hour time limit. I think a character creation episode in the full game would have actually worked really well. I don’t particularly like livestreams in general, especially watching the vod. I agree though, I’d prefer the usual mixed bags going forward.

Live-streaming a game like this doesn’t totally work to a strict hour long time limit, it’s fun, but I understood why murph was rushing. Traditional mixed bags would make more sense from now on in my opinion (Cake could take the DM reigns?)
