Sad to see people get upset about the Callie finale. Itβs okay to listen to an edited podcast show and HAVE FUN. Rules lawyers need to stick to the table.

This takes me back to a super cringey moment in 6th grade when I did a stage adaptation of an Animorphs book in front of my entire class. Murph, you get me brother.

Its so funny listening to a conversation with Caldwell and Murph talking about something with Emily and Jake just sitting there clearly not knowing anything about what they are on about
When I heard Finale I thought that sounded like the Jester's ability from Darkest Dungeon. Then I looked at the file I saw in fact it was that. I'm kinda bummed they won't be using it, that is such a cool ability and I loved having the Jester in my party.

I would lop my right arm off for a Murph beef of the week calendar

Omg, I am 35, have a mortgage, own a RAV4 AND would very much be ok if any of Emily's characters sexualised my d&d character. Caldwell and I are basically the same person! ππ

Honestly I love each and every character you guys have played, and Duck Team has been awesome!

β¨EMILY APPRECIATION POST β¨ It boils my blood that you can tune into Emily being pressured into self-editing literally since the early days of 8 Bit Book Club. While I completely understand why she edits herself (because the critical misogynists are fuccing relentless), I can't wait to see the day where she sees what they say and doesn't let it impact her decisions at all, whatsoever. Is it so clear from her body of work that as an improviser, actor, storyteller, writer, and comedian, Emilys instincts are incredible. Probably the best natural creative impulses currently available for consumption, frankly. I quake for the world that gets to see Emily Axford's instincts completely unbridled. You don't deserve sitting in constant hypervigilance, Emily. And keep calling of out the bullsht! The community should know what you put up with in order to bring us this awesome work. Anyway. β¨πβ¨πβ¨

I rarely, if ever, leave comments, because I guess I'm shy in that regard, I feel like "who am I to say something? Nobody cares!" Ironic, because I guess that's how you get an overwhelming majority of comments criticising something awesome about the show. So here's a(nother!) positive countervoice saying you all are doing an incredible job and I love what you do so so so much. Campaign 1 in particular is my comfort listen, the Boobs were my friends during a 4-month stay abroad (4 months: too long to only feed off the friendships back home but too short to make actual friends there) and I'm relistening to it again and again (think I'm on my 6th? listen?). But I love all three campaigns. As a woman myself, I love Emily in particular because she shines so bright and is given the space to do so, too (something that should be normal but isn't) - y'all clearly love her and her work like I do and it does something to me to see (well, hear) it. Like I'm also allowed to take up space. But also just generally I get to bask in the glorious awesomeness that is Emily Axford playing DnD. This is very personal but I just wanted to add a positive voice to the stupid negativity (even though the resulting Beef of the Week was great XD ).
Y'all are incredible, beautiful, and hilarious, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Thank you for bringing so much joy back into my lifeβ€οΈ

Murph I think you are one of the best DMs out there. Donβt listen to the idiots criticizing you. They can go listen to some other mediocre D&D podcast instead. I love you guys! Also Emily is my idol! I wish I could play D&D as beautifully as her. I love her chaotic nature and strive to think like her. Love you guys! #fuckthehaters

Bring back Christmas! The spells were awesome
The Not So Great Bear
Just want to join the chorus of people disappointed that the Callie finale got retired. Toxic community members shouldn't get to dictate game mechanics, that's the DM's job. Love you guys! Do what makes you happy!

In middle school I tried writing a 4th lord of the rings book (cuz I had no life experience and no idea what copywrite law was). I wrote like 3 chapters over like 6 pages and re read it and it was embarrassingly bad so I gave up writing. Now it's my passion and I have 1 published and plans for like 6 more
