Short Rest: Eldermourne - Ep. 11: Killshot (w/ Lou Wilson)

Rowan Hildebrand-Chupp

Attacking a prone ccreature with a ranged weapon does give you disadvantage, but attacking an incapacitated creature gives you advantage, so the two would cancel out. But ultimately I imagine the king would get cover, maybe even 3/4 cover, so I think having him roll with disadvantage was still not that different for what the odds probably woulda been.

Phillip Astorino

Loved to hear you guys talk about Omaha, NE. Trying to catch up for your NY show this Friday. Excited to be able to see you guys perform!

Joe D’Antonio

If you’re gonna burn three ki points, just burn one. If you’re gonna burn three ki points, just burn one!

Bec Robson

36:38 in the ep is where Murph asks for the perception check then Emily makes the comment

Bulbarat

Is Caldwell getting paid for his voice being used in these???

Bulbarat

He must've edited the Grove comment out of the EP cause I couldn't find it

As a Nebraska native It felt good to hear about it lol

1man2hands

The funniest part might be that Lou obviously doesn't listen to the show lol.

TheTimePig

I had the exact same thought, I didn't see it as a mistake, I thought it was beautiful acting and sticking to the character! Honestly, I can't get over how beautiful this whole group is together. All of them are pure geniuses and lovely to listen to.

SPOILER ALERT A personal rose is the part where Reynard thanks Tarragon for the sanctuary, then says "to honor?" before running away to which she replies "Honors that way Gallanthoof"

Aldo Cruz

I started listening last year around April and I CAN FINALLY SAY I CAUGHT UP!!

Nesve Fowl

Yes! Someone else who got the reference.

I am excited for Caldwell to return but I really hope Lou can come back more often and maybe play a roll in the main Eldermourne story. Having all four on might be a recipe for the best arc ever.

"Alongside" would come first right? This is the side campaign to the campaign after the campaign after the campaign.

Kelly J Shafer

I think about this at least quarterly

Futureidk 1

Lou really has lived up to the hype I’ve built after wanting him on the podcast for so long. Murph, another masterful story. It’s apparent how much work you put in to making NADDpod as great as it is. Emily, your characters are always so creative and hilarious. You are just fantastic and the glue that keeps parties together. Jake, my man, you sneak in the funniest one liners at the best moments. Your comedic talent is fucking awesome and you don’t give yourself enough credit. Just wanted to say sometbing bc Naddpod has helped me so much while studying for the bar exam during this awful year haha. I look forward to it every week, thanks!

Con

They'll roll like 4 nat 20's and completely break the campaign and, by extension, the podcast. The planning must be careful and precise.

Saru

They're too powerful. After their cameo there will be four gods in Eldermourne because they created another one, so I think Murph needs to figure out to have them as a guest without them straight-up killing the Reaper or something

Francisco

rip🙏🏾

SoupLightning

I'm going to be sad when Lou's time here is over and it goes back to the main campagin. That said, when does Beardsley get their cameo on NADDPOD? You can't leave them out after you've had literally every other intrepid hero member on.

Mitchell Sigalas

Come on bills! Please. Big 4th qtr.

Keith robinson

When did Emily become Rand al'Thor, the dragon reborn? Lol great episode

I'm hoping there will be a npc called Zaid Noremac ;)

Long Otter

I didn't notice any issues. And regardless, seems an unnecessary level of criticism - no need to target individuals in the Patreon comments at all.

Asa Barth-Maron

Awesome episode!!!! I do enjoy the hit-by-hit even with the weenies, especially when people are low on hp. There was a lot of suspense seeing if each archer hit as the party was running away, But trust your discretion and excited to see what's coming next!

Connor Noonan

As a gardener, it’s so nice to hear Emily using gardening terminology XD

TacoLord

i think it would be really cool if somehow Henry's curse tied into the Hexblades story arc. also #ReadTheLetter

Kelly Varanay

Was Lou referencing The Reptile Theme? From Mortal Kombat? That's my dnd group's favorite fight music and definitely what dragons listen to

Canid

Yes Lincoln Nebraska here, OG southwestern Nebraska. So Lou, I need to CATCH-A-RIDE! Thanks for the call out Emily.

Nicole Jordan

For what Emily said about the monk thing I feel like it makes a lot of sense thematically too because Tarragon isn’t fully back into being a hexblood and therefore a monk until the end of the episode when they all agree to follow the hexblood way again so she’s using her newfound abilities for peace rather than her inner dragon

Stephanie Karisny

All the talk about the letter Corbeau has just had me remembering we still need Jake to #ReleaseTheLetter

May Leonard

So the correct intro for this corner of Eldermourne would be "Welcome to the campaign after the campaign alongside the campaign after the campaign after the campaign!" and that mouthful is hilarious.

As a fan from Nebraska, this is the best short rest ever. I can show you the best Walgreens in Omaha on your next tour.
