Sometimes Jake sounding like Owen Wilson and it's fcking great 🤣🖤
lou seems so different on this podcast and on Three Black Halflings than he does on D20. on that he is so calm and calculating, on the podcasts he seems so energetic and excited
Nikolaus Cox
That's two Oscars for Matt and Ben. 1998.
Absolutely!!!

10/10 would buy for so many people
I see CRAVEN!? in bold under a smaller Are you. The more simple, the better.
Maddie
Any chance we can get "Are you craven??" as a merch item? Like I would LOVE that as a mug
Greta Robison
I love that Lou plugs albums he’s been listening to- it’s small but so wholesome
Jesse
The seamlessly edited out-of-context Caldwell clips crack me up so much.
Cheese of the Lake
I am LOVING Jabari the Safari!
Wags
All this stealth made me realize how valuable Emily's having "pass without trace" was in the first campaign. They snuck through a lot of stuff using that.
Teo Tamashiro-Harris
Huge rose for Murph as the wannabe king calling Jabari "Jabroni", I had to pause I was laughing so hard! And of course I absolutely love all of the hexbloods' energy, amazing sode!

I of course miss Caldwell but Lou Wilson is doing a great job. Nothing funnier then a high level character basically exploding some poor guards head when a much weaker attack probably would've taken him out. Im glad Lou is taking up Caldwell's tradition of doing ridiculous shit.

Even as a player (and wife) I kept trying to read Murph for if we were behaving too off the rails, but he had a very chill, open demeanor the whole time, so I kept going with it! The guy is unflappable! -Emily

Murph is so good on his toes I guess we gotta keep him there. -Emily

Yes! That's where I heard it on! I love Ologies and am an ologies patron. I subscribed to Neil Pasricha's podcast after that episode, too! -Emily

confusing to not read this as the destiny's child song, but also, bills won again this week! -Emily

Yes! Tarragon / Dragon is not a coincidence! Although learning that about bayleaf makes me wish I made her last name Bayleaf. Especially considering I did not take the poisoner feat, so I didn't need to have a poisonous last name! Although, saying "Snakeroot" in her voice is kind of fun, so I am at peace with what played out. -Emily

Heh, Murph said Doo-doo
Frankenjam
@NADDPod a question for Emily. Did you get the name Taragon from the old English children's show 'The Herbs' because I'm pretty sure the dragon in that show was called Taragon. Also from memory :- - Parsley was a lion - Bayleaf was a human gardner - There was a snake charmer I'm not sure I remember who that was
RJ
Seriously, came here to say this. We have imprinted on Jabari in our household. 😂
Matt Boggs
I have nothing else to say other than NADDPOD is my favorite thing and I love all of you guys. ❤️
Paul Smith
Rose/Thorn/Bud was also recently featured on the Awesomeology episode of Ologies, my second favorite podcast, so this was as close to a crossover as I'm ever gonna get!
Michael Lawton
Great short rest! Murph, you are a super star DM and podcast editor. You could do a short rest of a short rest, just DM stuff. Love y’all!!
Yes please share those after they come up in game!
Ganonbort
They said last short rest, theyre splicing in out of context send offs from old short rests
Murph, please share the big battle rules you invented! Unless you plan to keep them as a surprise later on...
Jacob Buttarazzi
Okay please tell me Caldwell was just there listening the whole time and chimed in right at the end. I really want that to be true. (But really if I'm wrong let me know)
Eiden Weissblum
"I've been here THE WHOLE TIME." - Sam Reich/Caldwell Tanner

Bills! Bills! Bills!

I got excited when I heard you talking about buds! I started running a home game a few months ago, and we end with roses/thorns/buds. It's great because I can just use their buds to figure out what should happen next session
Austin Wilson
I feel like I’ve heard Jake tell the crew about the concept of a bud, and frame it as something he just recently learned, at least three times.
Rose and Thorn is a classic end of the day summer camp check-in activity, and now that you guys also know bud, I have to tell you there is also one last part, odd leaf! For the weird part of your day(or an episode?). You usually cover this anyways but just thought I'd let you know! Loving this arc so far!!
Gafyn John
The episode reminded me of that episode Davos and Melisandre killed Renly Baratheon except no one killed the would be king with some kind of weird ghost baby 😂. Really enjoyed the episode though and Murph, great job for rolling with it. Also, good job for Emily, Jake and Lou for keeping Murph guessing haha.
Chris
I fuckin love the end of these short rest when we cut to Caldwell taking us out
Turner Tush
Murph you are a Dungeon Grand Master, couldn’t tell it was improvised at all 👏
Debra Wasson
it’s alright Murph once I had a whole attempted assassination mystery arc planned but as soon as the attempted assassination happened my players just decided to leave town
Petition to keep Lou on the show forever. There’s room in the choo choo crew too, Lou!!
Potato Muffin
Hrrrnng. Corbeau. Jabari is trying to sneak in through the side flap and kill the would be king. But Claw is dummy thicc and the clap of Jabari's axe blade is alerting the guards.
Absolutely amazing episode and short rest. Out of interest, how long do you leave it from recording the episode to recording the short rest?
Murph, I’m so excited to find out about these new mechanics you’ve been working on!
Garrett Morrow
Jabari the Safari!
My goal in life is to one day be as excited about something as Lou is to play Jabari. The energy is so infectious and all the characters play off it so well! Been loving this arc. It’s like each episode is a safari of emotions!
Jon Whitehead
If it's any consolation I highly doubt ASOIAF will end even remotely the same as the show.
Ganonbort
Those were Dr. Neville’s ashes used in the ritual last week. I havent finished the episode but i was shocked nobody brought it up last short rest!
James Scott
For the love of God jake... please... I'm begging you... GOT spoiler warnings. I've been a book reader and have been waiting over 20 years, going so far out of my way to avoid spoilers for the books and have managed to do so (imagine the backflips to pull that off). You solely have managed to spoil ASOIAF for me... please just give a warning, I beg of you, I have so little left... my life sucks... let me have some small hope
ocean johnston
caldwell ending the show is so funny to me
Nicole Jordan
Question, we encountered the Prophet Cain already w/Dr. Neville and Hank right? Interesting to seem him here
Nicole Jordan
This would totally had me on the edge of my seat! Honestly couldn’t tell that they were going so far off the rails I assumed the camp was something they were supposed to encounter later on not completely made up on the spot because of how flawlessly Murph improvised!
Mila Jameson
Any chance Lou could stay on as a cast regular after Duncle is back from his paternity leave?.. 🤔
Paul Villanueva
I love hearing Duncle in the outros but I wish we could hear Lou do it, too!
Charles Johnson
Murph's ability to run such a good improv session is truly DM goals
Certainly Not Brent
this arc is a G I F T
Geraint
Caldwell?! Wtf 😆
My bond is the week is My mother because name a better Bond than the BOND you have with you mom.. go ahead I'll wait.
I wish Lou could stay forever
Did just got 2 Oscar for this episode that is the same as "The world's end "
jacket22
Remember how Lou ended episode zero by saying I’m Jabari my nickname is the small from my time in the giant wars.
KaijuGeek
Please share your big battle rules, Murph!!!
FusRohNahSon
Lou is so funny it actually hurts to not have Caldwell interact with him. Tell Caldwell's punk kid we want our Duncle back
Michelle Y. Kim
JAKE, HOW DARE YOU SPEAK AGAINST THE ONE TRUE KING OF WESTOROS.
keysi ellle
ARE YOU CRAVENNN???!!!!!
Bradley T
Am I crazy or was Caldwell there the whole time?!
Dori
I mean we don't know that it's directly concurrent do we? Murph might have said something about it but I don't really remember
Bernat García
I'd have liked if the intro to the sidequest was "welcome to the campaign at the same time as the campaign after the campaign after the campaign"
