I have to add to the Great Scampi Confusion - as an Australian, scampi is an entirely different animal to shrimp for us (... not that we call anything shrimp, they are prawns), scampi are basically miniature lobsters. Can confirm that the “haunted” and “not haunted” real estate signs—especially in the French Quarter—are a bit of a joke for the locals, since New Orleans is one of the most haunted cities in the country. The house I grew up in was built in 1835 & had 2 known deaths in it, and at least one of the ghosts used to set fires whenever we had house parties!
