I didn't catch the matrix comparison when she described it, but I was definitely getting the heeby jeebies when she described the room with the glass cases with bubbling red fluid, and then when she described Carl as basically a marionette corpse speaking to them with worms coming out of his ears or whatever. Scared the crap out of me to visualize it. Very well done DM'ly!
