double bestow curse isn't legal, can't be under the effect of two things with the same name halfling luck is nice but it's also pretty situational, being a human and taking the lucky feat at first level is comparably good, or being a gnome and just always having advantage on 3 different ability saves is pretty cool too

I paused at the music thing. Murph it's totally possible your guitar just wasn't very good. My first one keep breaking strings because the action was SO HIGH. It also made a bunch of chords out of tune. It's super common with cheap guitars. To anyone having this issue if you can afford it- I highly suggest getting a luthier to get your instrument setup. It helped so much!

When you started talking about a ski trip, all I could think of was the movie Out Cold, where they have to save the mountain lodge from being bought out by a millionaire and turned into a lame rich person resort. I could see the Bon Fréres trying to save their favorite mountain from a take over. :)

Oh man, you HAVE to watch Better off Dead, the movie that is referenced in this short rest. So many great moments; Lane's (Cusack) Mum's cooking, the paper boys, the neighbour ("you know, fweeeends"), not to mention the ski bully/rich guy who is such a Ren! The asian guys who learned to speak English by watching sports so only speak Howard Cosell. And of course Lane's druggy-wannabe best friend Charlie (Curtis Armstrong) who tries to snort the mountain the ski race is going to be held on. I love that movie so much.
