Easily one of my favorite episodes. I personally felt the horror especially when describing the big mashed up god.
It is, though. The first roll doesn't matter, the second just has to match the first; whatever number the first rolls has a 1 in 20 chance of being rolled by the second die.

11/16/22, was also floored by that! They had no idea what was to come

I'm pretty sure Gygax literally made Tomb of Horrors to murder PCs. He was fed up with players bragging about how OP they were so he designed a murder dungeon. I definitely don't think all of the boobs will make it out of that alive.

It’s not a 1/20 chance for 2 people to roll the same number on a 20 sided die. Bad math, bad you, unsubscribed.
Faith Huisman
This is the first short rest I’ve ever listened to! I’m so excited to be a new Patreon, I’ve been listening to you guys for the longest time and I finally gave in. No regrets.

listening to this for the first time 2/7/22 and hearing alt right provocateurs, Joe Rogan, and coughing in the same bit is incredibly surreal
Listening to the pro-coughing section post-COVID hits different
Summer Tribe

Katherine Finn
the party takes murphs crap with such grace lmao

She shows up later in the Vox Machina campaign. I would say Melora in NADD is more akin to the Raven Queen in CR. Pelor in NADD is more like their homebrewish deity Saran Rey (sp) in CR where they are more commonly addressed but don't get directly involved as much.

The raven queen is in CR??? I think of her as a TAZ character tbh lol (or... you know... an irish deity)

As a guy named Dante, feel free to @ me for the sins of my namesake
Lunar Skirmisher .
Please please please play Binky Fiasco for the second arc

1) I love Moonshine's "get pregnant by a god" vision board & would like to remind Emily that Queen Joviere was interested 2) It's funny they talk about the Raven Queen in critrole- I started listening at the second campaign after starting naddpod, and it's been hilarious to have them talk about Melora as this graceful, serene force of nature, and not the goddess Moonshine hits on sometimes
Samuel
I payed $5 to hear them talk about apes. I am not disappointed
Debra Wasson
Oh Murph looked it up okay don’t @ him
Debra Wasson
I believe the raven queen is over Life and Death
Debra Wasson
“Blink them out of existence”
Maxwell Cornwell
I’m surprised at Emily being disappointed at using the Mass cure wounds. That shit was amazing to heal everyone else up so much!! Healing can be as exciting as damage.
Maxwell Cornwell
I believe it was a stretch goal they reached to do a super long livestream
Alex
Wait what live stream are they talking about did I miss something ?
Brandalf The Bae
A rose to Emily for that snowflakes-giving-her-a-cough dadjoke. I groaned and snortlaughed at the same time
Adam Gomez
Having the dusk mother the child of the raven queen and pelor is so next level we Stan
Jerry Mercer (me)
Hardwon is magic now and it didn’t even come up in the short rest???

Question for Daddy Murph, how does the Abyss fit into your version of the Outer Planes? I don't know a lot about the vanilla setting but I remember reading about the never ending blood war between the devils of the Nine Hells and the demons of the Abyss being a delicate balance such that both needed to exist to stop the other from going out of control. If they close the Nine Hells, what would happen to the Abyss? Or would closing Hell only shut it off from the Material Plane? Just a question I thought of while listening to this ep the Band was drilling you about cosmology.

Technically he lost it way back in the Fey Wild, but it’s one of those weapons where it’s cool to have and keeping track of whether or not it’s been retrieved after being used for its intended purpose is more effort than it’s worth
Hollie Tawhiao
Dusk mother rules, she reminds me of Hine nui te po goddess of death (she's amazing and her story is sad) but she's badass. Her dad is a god, he married her and she had his kids, then found out she was his daughter and fled and became goddess of death to care for people when they cross over.
Elizabeth Lees
That’s a bingo
Aaron Thomas
I eat Bananas like that. I never thought of it as wierd...
Sav
Can’t believe murph just killed his wife like that, damn
Justin Michael Baard
Dungeon of the Mad Mage would be awesome too! I would love to see the Band of Boobs play through that. It's such a good mix of comedic and tricky. I'll straight up send you guys the book.
All Pulp! No Juice!
Did Hardwon lose his Lightening Javelin? Cus I thought I heard him throw it at demigod and never really have a chance to get it back.

As much as this sode stressed me out, and as much as I love the goofs, I really appreciate seeing the BoB’s strategic thinking and pure creativity under duress. Can I give a rose? That’s my rose for y’all.

In the Catholic tradition that I think Dante came from, suicide was a pretty egregious sin. I think the logic behind it was that depriving oneself of life went in contradiction to the virtue of love (of God and especially of self), and was in violation of Thou Shalt Not Kill. In 1992, the pope made a more nuanced ruling that suicide victims were clearly not in a rational state of mind and as such might not be committing grievous sin, so Dante's work is moreso outdated.
