Cody I do at times feel like I can't swallow. Maybe once or twice every few months. I feel it is anxiety induced or when I'm stressed. I just take a slow deep breath in and make a deliberate effort to swallow. Once I do I reassure myself that I am in control and it's going to be ok. 😊

The other day on my campus they were handing out valentines goody bags and I thought they were candy so I was so excited to open it up and eat it back at my apartment. I opened it up and it was all just condoms and lube and I was a little disappointed. There was a bubble gum flavored lube and I still had a craving for something sweet so I tried some and squeezed it into my mouth and it was actually pretty decent so I had a little more. I went to class right after and 10 minutes in I totally forgot how to swallow and I started freaking the fuck out having a panic attack and I thought I might be having an allergic reaction to the lube but I finally got some saliva down after 30 seconds and was totally fine and realized it was just an anxiety thing and not the lube. So yeah I do get the anxiety forgot how to swallow thing.

I would have panic attacks at night from it and went to therapy and my entire outlook on the fear changed when my dr told me it's literally impossible to die from choking on your own spit. Idk if that helps but hearing it from a dr helped me. So yea i recommend therapy

I honestly feel like this is the beginning of the end of the pod though. Even though it's mostly just jokes, it's clear that there has been a division of trust sown by Cody's clear inability to be truthful even over simple matters. Noel's behavior toward Cody for the rest of this episode was indicative of this new tension. As viewers, we cannot trust Cody at his word anymore, and suggest that he consider taking a step back from the podcast, and somebody like Meatcanyon can come and substitute -- at least until Cody has sought adequate therapeutic resolution to his pathological habit of untruthfulness.

Yeah I get anxiety attacks too. I constantly feel as though my heartbeat is weird and jagged, breathing is weird too. Feels kinda weak in a way. And I just keep having to clear my throat. It feels kinda tight and that makes me feel like I can't swallow. Some other stuff too. Like clenching my fists in my sleep or not sleeping well in general and my ocd gets worse too. Sucks a lot and don't know why it happens. Good luck figuring it out though.

Broo I had the worst panic attacks throughout yr 11 in high school so I had to drop out was pretty upsetting. Everyday I would feel like I was throwing up right then and there and would see black spots. Eventually I got put on some medication (Zoloft) and it literally took about another 6 months of the worst part of my life, holed up at home in a deep depression but here I am on the other side working 60hrs a week Rn and starting to rebuild some relationships but that’s the hardest part of it all honestly. So lesson is Kody get on some ssris and believeee, there is things you can do to make it better 😘😘
