The reason matts accent is so influenced by the American accent is because as a northern Irish man if you live in America some words you say aren’t understood so you have to say it with a slight American accent so people know what you’re saying, so he’s obviously just gotten so use to it he just talks like that now

it's official, this podcast is now 100x more enjoyable than the actual episodes of Love Island. it's so eerie that the Faye situation just petered out with no consequences, and Jake's gotten away with it all once again. maddening. so yeah, this podcast ep is super validating, thank you. :') p.s. as someone who had decades of experience living with someone who yells like Faye, sure she may have stuff she needs to deal with but that's why you break the cycle instead of perpetuating it and traumatising someone else. feels irresponsible for the show to just let that fly.

Honestly, I think Faye does like Teddy but she's extremely insecure (according to her based on past relationships), so she does a lot of self-sabotage to convince herself that this relationship is not worth it, when it very well could be. I think her making the comments about Teddy not being funny was to convince herself that all the good things happening w/ her and Ted will eventually end. She was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Not excusing her blowup at all, but just pointing out why she acts the way she does. Teddy definitely did not deserve any of that.
