Shifting is something akin to pretending so hard it’s real think of a tulpa( a imaginary friend you let control some aspects of your life). As someone who practices "witchcraft" and other spiritual-related practices, witches are not oppressed lmao. Literally, anyone can be one (assuming you're not trying to appropriate closed or sacred practices), it's just a practice. The most you'd get are very religious people that think it's devil worship or idiots that think witches believe in Harry Potter or Merlin magic. There is a lot of "witchcraft" and spiritual practices in other cultures that far predates a lot of modern western practices. For some people, it's part of their religion or it's deeply ingrained in their culture. The ironic part is there have been "witches" on TikTok that promote things that are just false which sometimes ends up being a little problematic. I remember that they said sage invites demons into your home. For anyone that doesn't know, sage is a sacred plant amongst many indigenous people and I'm sure there is quite a bit of erasure or attempted erasure of native practices. I know they weren't saying indigenous people invite demons, but... people will just makeup anything or rely on information from Amino. There are POC witches that have had to deal with white "witChes arE OpRESsED ToO" witches who constantly appropriate spiritual. or "witchcraft" practices from their culture. I was there during the live, Noel didn't say anything that bad (chat, on the other hand, was a little rude) lmao. I swear some people just want to be oppressed.
