You can smoke with it too it's just a bit harder to get the temp right. Bur Noel, if you want a charcoal grill seriously get a Weber kettle. Cheap and last forever. Don't light the charcoal with lighter fluid, that shit is dangerous and makes your food taste like shit. Buy a chimney starter, best way to start up your coals. Literally making sausages on mine now. Nothing better than eating meat over a fire, propane grills just don't do it.
