acutane is literally insane. I was literally about to get it last week and last minute was like can we try something else. women have to go on birth control, like sign documents pledging to not get pregnant. also you have to get blood drawn once a month because it's so taxing on the liver. I needed my psychiatrist to write a letter saying she would monitor me closely. it also takes a month to even start, you have to get blood drawn and take a pregnancy test initially, then wait a month and do that again.
