I’m late but the video of the protesters backed up against the wall was in Philly. I live outside the city and had a lot of friends going in & out. My friend’s 17 year old white sister was walking to her car after the protest TEN minutes after “curfew” (that no one knew about). She got arrested. Held in the station in Philly. Parents had to drive in and pick her up. Fucking insane

Here me out. Defunding the police department would inevitably cause pay cuts, thus attracting more uneducated, out of control, power hungry people. I don’t think defunding the police is going to help. I think requiring a bachelor’s degree, more in depth psychological reviews, and a higher pay would attract the kind of people the public want.

The thing with the autopsy is people don’t understand how death certificates are filled out. Same with covid. The mechanism of death was a heart attack, but the underlying cause was asphyxia induced tachycardia. They’re not saying he wasn’t murdered, just that asphyxia (lack of oxygen causing organ failure) wasn’t the mechanism of death.

The riots were triggered by George's death but the fight is way bigger than this tragic event. It's a fight for justice and equality. It's a fight against a racist, white supremacist system. Anyone trying to diminish the movement is just as bad as the cop who killed George. So congrats on being an atrocious human being.

Yes the hard rock always has prime real estate. There’s one in downtown SD right across the street from the convention center. I’ve never been to one but now i feel like i need to go.
