I just watched the HBO documentary about Theranos and in the first five minutes it has a clip of Elizabeth Holmes explaining the name. Theranos is a combination of “therapy” and “diagnose” so you would pronounce it like Thera(py)(diag)nos hahaha that was the worst explanation

Second life related: Okay no shit found out the other week that my therapist (who is also a professor) was an important figure on Second Life. He became the first person to establish a university in VR, and people actually went to that and got ‘degrees’, let alone have families.
