This past week has not exactly been eventful. Beyond creating the 4K render Grandmaster supporters received yesterday, my efforts were spent finishing up the orchestral musical theme I discussed last week. It didn't turn out how I expected when I first started it, mainly because the orchestral sound became much more realistic than I thought it would, allowing me to be more subtle in its performance. Orchestral instrument libraries really have come a long way in these past 20 years, and I can now take full advantage of that. The final result is delightful, which is vital because I intend to use this track for the climax of Supermodel's first release.
I have also started work on more music (I'm almost at the final stretch of the music stuff now, I promise), but I haven't quite found the style and sound I'm looking for. In other words, this one is still in the early phases, where it could go in almost any direction. I do know what I need, which is a mystery theme for the investigative parts of the game. However, there are multiple ways to handle that kind of theme, and I'm still trying out various options to see which one feels right to me.
And that's about it. There are just three more months left of this year, and I intend to get the first version of Supermodel out before we can write 2024 in our calendars. I'm starting to feel the pressure, but that can be good. It keeps me focused.
