I think its more than Jasper made her feel inferior that she feels like unless she doesn't beat her everything Jasper says is right. I get it being the same type of gem, but Jasper clearly being the most gifted while amethyst struggles to this very day. :(

honestly i would think seeing jaspers hole would actually be somewhat comforting: its proof that jasper isnt the standard for quartz soldiers shes the jiren of quartz soldiers............ are you really going to beat yourself up for not measuring up to the paragon of strength for your species?
