will say that steins gate does have a slow start mostly focused on introducing characters and setting stuff up for later but imo its all completely worth it in the end. also the only one of these questions i can answer is why theyre doing experiments which is just they like doing experiments and inventing random gadgets and theyre trying to understand why the bananas end up like that
