The ending for cour 2 of season 1 was the same as the one in this episode, but a few scenes were missing in this episode, in these scenes he was looking at the world through windows and his silhouette was cut off in every frame where he was supposed to be with the rest of the cast, and if you notice at the end as he gets out of the tent his inner monologue is with his new voice, not the Earthdeus one, for the first time ever.
