Seems like Stefan & Damon returned to MF every 50-60 years. When most ppl who knew them were likely dead. But yes, once he saw Elena he was obsessed with knowing her. He should’ve known Damon would be just as obsessed and, ultimately, destructive.

Thing is, Stefan selfishly came back to pursue Elena just because she looks like Katherine. Knowing that Damon made a vow to make Stefan's life miserable because of their past with Katherine, it is Stefan who got Elena involved with this whole mess. If he hadn't come back to Mystic Falls, then everybody would've lived on with their normal lives. But there's a lot more to the backstory with both of their histories that will be revealed later in the show in order to really understand their dynamic so nobody is completely innocent in this situation and nobody is completely at faulty either. There's a lot more to see why Damon is the way that he is, and even though he's considered the "bad guy," he is a vampire and is living like a vampire would live so we can't really try to hold him to the standards of human morality.

Just to make you aware....TVD is 8 seasons long, with 22/23 episode per season., plus TO that is 5 seasons. if you keep posting one episode a week, you'll both get gray hair and rinckley , before you finish it all. 👴👵 Could you please consider to post more episode a week at least two?
