Save the Date! Harvest moon walk on the Sterling Rail Trail
🕑 Added 2021-10-12 18:27:34 +0000 UTC*UPDATE* Here’s the registration for the rail trail walk! Looks like we will have beautiful weather. https://mandigarrisonyoga.as.me/harvestmoon
Please register so that I can have an idea of how many people to expect, and take any safety precautions that you feel is appropriate for you. I estimated 90 minutes, but it may not be that long. Here’s a brochure of the rail trail for more information: https://www.sterling-ma.gov/sites/g/files/vyhlif1266/f/file/file/sterling_rail_trail_brochure.pdf
See you then! <3

Happy Tuesday everyone! Just posting a Save the Date for local members to join me in a moonlit walk on the rail trail! This is a free, informal, private event. I will create a registration for this just so I know how many people to expect, but for now, simply mark your calendars. I'm thinking Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 5:45 p.m. (the sun sets around 6). There's a bridge overlooking the reservoir where we may see the moonrise and perhaps we can do a moon meditation or ceremony. The walk will probably take one hour (about 3 miles). It will get dark on the way back, so I recommend bringing a flashlight or headlamp. The starting point will be on the rail trail entrance in Sterling in the Cider Mill parking lot. It's an easy walk on an open dirt path in the woods (very similar to the image above by Terri Foss).
Also it's quite possible I'll be dressed in costume. ;-)
Let me know if this all sounds good in the comments below. <3
(I will also post a prerecorded full moon meditation in the Tiers 2&3 portal.)
