Markus Nävergård
eh no. the core event of red Sonja is that she is raped by some barbarian ruffians and a goddess grants her amazing swordfighting skills so she can take revenge and she may never lay with man that cannot best her in single combat.
Markus Nävergård
so his stint as a guest star in friends was just a small break from his copaganda of magnum and his copaganda of his later careerer
Markus Nävergård
that is bad and what is worse is that i thought " could been worse". but yeah that is asshole behaviour.
Braska N
The Langoliers. A decent Stephen King novella with some of the worst early CGI to exist at the time. Not end of Spawn bad, but bad.
Reverend Paleo
Oooo, sounds dreadful!!
Reverend Paleo
No, she’s right. I love it too, but it’s objectively a so-so movie.
Reverend Paleo
Gun nut, has done nothing but copaganda for a couple decades, and stole hundreds of thousands of gallons of water from a California (can’t remember the town) fire system to water his avocado ranch.
MoonRiver
this isn't Twitter, what do you get out of posting bait?
Brandyn Riffle
Night Patrol (1983). The Unknown comic, Linda Blair, Pat Morita, and pre Dice Andrew Clay. Black face. Gay stereotypes. Billy Barty in one of his last roles... And he sued the producers for fart sounds added in post. It's an early 80's Trainwreck with some absolutely funny jokes and real psychic pain. If you want the worst, Night Patrol.
Brandyn Riffle
That movie gave me nightmares about little people when I was a child .. strong suggestion!
Tony
I can't remember. Have you done Howard the Duck?
Anita Squires
I am also a trash person for enjoying this film
Venkman's Assistant
You must be high.
WolfWizard
Definitely Garbage Pail Kids
Cave_Dweller
Well *NOW* it is!!
Jezebel Diablo
Isn't that every 80s movie?
Jezebel Diablo
Never saw it but I'm always up for trashing those two idiots
Jezebel Diablo
Is that the porn version? Lol
Jezebel Diablo
Ghost Busters. Sure sure I loved it too, but in hindsight, it was a really bad movie
jonesy
Second Mazes and Monsters. Tom Hanks classic.
Trevor Stephens
Garbage pail kids
Sean Mcfall
Another suggestion. The Apple . S real disco inferno
Markus Nävergård
Tom Selleck is a idiot? elaborate. tell me more
One I'd Nick
I just want them to watch an episode of Eurotrash now. I know it's not 80's and not a movie, but I'd love to see their reactions.
One I'd Nick
Hard agree. Also, I feel like our patreon names need a hard-core staring competition.
Reverend Paleo
Ooooo - Under The Rainbow (‘81). I was sooooo excited to show this to my sweetie when I saw it was on Prime, so rented it… If I coulda got my money back I would have burned it to prevent spoiling all other money. DID NOT HOLD UP, is what I’m saying.
Reverend Paleo
House II is nuts, but House was pretty damn good B horrorcom.
Reverend Paleo
Runaway, ‘84, with the idiot Simmons and the idiot who played Magnum PI. (Magnum the show rocks, and the actor was good as the character, but the actor is still a bloodthirsty idiot.)
Reverend Paleo
I will help.
Markus Nävergård
they dealt with far worse movies
Detective Popcorn
I can see them giving this one a wide berth given that there isn't much in the movie to make jokes about. It's basically a movie about a college kid with schizophrenia and how his friends and family wind up taking the worst approach in dealing with it.
Vausch Abendroth
I still can't believe Futurama actually referenced that. I didn't learn it until like, 18 years later. "What have I told you!? NO! MORE! HANGING! WIRES!"
Radical unelected bureaucrat @ Dept. Of the Deep State
Treasure of the Ninja. Voice over bad guy ninja is my everything.
Christy
Son of a bitch must pay
Spookems
If they do an episode on that movie and say it's bad, Katie and Alan from werewolf ambulance are gonna nuke them somehow.
Markus Nävergård
mmhm, i mean fuck they could do one on the jack T Chick comic Dark Dungeons alone. I´ve waited a long time for them to tackle the satanic panic in general ( first one, in the 80´s, not the Q-Anon one)
Christy
My very favorite 80s movie (because I am a trash person) is Big Trouble in Little China. Pretty pretty please 🙏
MoonRiver
honestly, I think the anti-DnD angle is so heavily tied to Christianity I'd say it qualifies for the main feed. hard to believe they haven't done it already
Markus Nävergård
i suggested that one to. Take my vote so we can all enjoy this "far out game" of mazes and monsters
Markus Nävergård
sex crimes was standard for comedies up to..... did they ever stop? i mean yeah as a teen the scene in american pie witht he girl stripping in that guys bedroom was hot, but now as ana dult " hey they are broadcasting that without her conscent, all of you need to be in jail"
Markus Nävergård
Part of my MO
Markus Nävergård
Some of us have made a name for them selves by drawing Duck tits though
Markus Nävergård
oh i remember that one. why have we never gotten a new Red Sonja movie? i mena it be a sword n sorcery rape and Revenge flick i guess, so that might be a problem. But She kills alot of just terrible men.
Markus Nävergård
they did indeed do that. Fifty shades of grey in the Paleogene
Markus Nävergård
GORDON`S ALIVE!!
Markus Nävergård
they killed that tiger with that black dye
Markus Nävergård
when the fat guy started to float i lost it.
Markus Nävergård
the author of the book death wish is based on who was a liberal got so upset with all this that he wrote his own sequal novel
Markus Nävergård
Marlins shop of mystical wonders. " Grandpa Borgnine leave some light and hope for me!" " Get out from under that blanket Billy, it gets Worse!"
Markus Nävergård
MAC CLOUD!!!!!
Markus Nävergård
or Death wish 1 for that matter, the author of the book was distraught over how conservatives loved th emovie, because that was not what his book was about.
Markus Nävergård
first i would Say Conan the barbarian. god i do not like that movie and i am a avid conan fan, i have a extensive collection of the marvel comics and Robert E Howards full compleation of Conan Stories, including the only Novel, Hour of the dragon. atleast the movie´s soundtrack is kick ass. Every character in that first movie is wrong. Conan was not a slave bound to a wheel, he elft cimmeria after hearing his grandfathers stories, at the age of 15 after the cimmerians destroyed the Aquilonian fort of Venarium. Conan was enslaved much later in a Hyperborian castle by a necromancer, but escaped. Thulsa Doom was a sorcerer from the pre cataclysmic age of Thuria, he was a skull faced lich magician and enemy of the atlantean barbarian then king Kull.
Markus Nävergård
California! i find that movie kinda endearing. i just has a soft spot for the kid who is clearly autistic, mourning his sister, it is kinda sweet.
Markus Nävergård
Maces and Monsters, Tom hanks in a Anti DnD movie where only Tom hanks character goes insane. it is based on a awful anti roleplay book by the same name, but only one of the players goes off to the deep end and ends up in a insane asylum and all his friends are fine, even the guy with a insane mother that remakes his room with out any warning. " sounds like a far out crime" " Maces and Monsters is a far out game"
Markus Nävergård
OOOOOH i heard of this one. it is absed on a series of cheap novels. the guy who wrote them was such a insane conspicay beliving reactionary xenophobe, other conservative authors thought he was to much.
LochUnruly
It's gotta be 1982's "MegaForce", star Barry Bostwick as Ace Hunter Or 1988's "Hell comes to Frogtown", Starring Roddy Piper
Sean Mcfall
Howard the duck please . It's just bad
Aaron Irvin
It's a movie that argues against gun registration, illegal immigrants are part of the communist plot to invade America, and it was good your father abused you so you could become a guerilla in world War 3. It could be in the main feed.
Hypatia
Amityville 2,the possession from 1982 comes to mind. Or Inchon, 1981.
cadavermouse
Did Red Letter Media do Island of Blood? It sounds familiar..
Rachel
As much as I love it as a guilty pleasure, if you can find it, the movie Body Slam is pretty brutal. Roddy Piper, Tonga Kid, Captain Lou Albano…
Patrick Carr
It’s terrifying how many movies seemed great at the time, and have aged horribly.
Patrick Carr
Endless Love. Horrible movie
Zeebs
Sorry, 1985.
Zeebs
I think it’s time we “let out some steam” with Commando (1984).
Jason H
There appears to be some confusion here, the podcast is called God *Awful* Movies.
Peter Paugh
There are quite a few good movies being nominated in this thread --- doesn't mean it won't make for some good comic fodder!
Rachel
Oh, damn. I need Eli screaming “NO WIRE HANGERS!!!”
Rachel
Labyrinth is in no way a bad movie. Neither is Lost Boys. 🤷🏼♀️
WelcomeToFalse
Excuse me, sir! They are (according to Tae Kwon Do auteur YK Kim) ore pans, and I’ll not stand for this gold rush erasure!
Donovan Morgan
Blue lagoon
Unofficial_Opinion
Three. I love that bad movie.
Kajata
Oh, yeah, it’s peak good-bad IMO. Langella is acting the shit out of the craziest role possible, basically chewing on the scenery the whole time; it’s perfect!
Unofficial_Opinion
Wanted: Dead or Alive with Rutger Hauer, Gene Simmons and Robert Guillaume.
Unofficial_Opinion
I am ashamed to admit I loved that movie. Sometimes I randomly hum Guildor’s (sp) magical synthesizer theme.
Unofficial_Opinion
Wolverines!
Vausch Abendroth
It's yor's world he's the maaaaan!
Angela Earle
War Games! “The computer sounds like it missed him,” The Eli Bosnick Story. Why did they think it was a video game?! Where were the points?! I can feel Noah’s heart and face getting red….
Angela Earle
Papa can you hear me?!
Ed “Short Arms” Marcus
The Robert englund phantom of the opera - or Jason takes manhattan
Kevin Meier
Xtro, made right at the start of the 80's with one of the most bizarre attempt to rip of alien for like 2 scenes
m68ken
Ah yes, The Far Side version of Hell. 😅
Ian from wine country
I have very vague memories of this movie from childhood
Aaron Irvin
RED. DAWN.
April Poff
I think it was Siskel and Ebert who dubbed Ishtar (1987) as the worst movie possible. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishtar_(film)
Jon & Sam
Blood Diner!!!
Lord Lotech
"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension". So much promise wasted 'cause the director didn't know what kind of movie he wanted to make. Peter Weller being charismatic in some scenes then just phoning in others 'cause he's sick of reshoots and script changes. John Lithgow's bouncing off the walls while eating all the scenery performance. (And that was after the director made him tone his performance down 'cause he was too crazy initially). Oh, and all the good aliens from the 8th dimension are Jamacian.
Matty B
They also did The Prophecy with Christopher Walken as the angel Gabriel and Viggo Mortensen as one of the best performances of Lucifer ever. Still deserved the review even though it was just Heath wanting to watch a good movie.
SadPanda
My first thought is the classic bad movie to end all bad movies, one that I loved as a child, for some unknown reason: Howard the Duck
Matty B
Good Bad exists. Lost Boys is so effing good but it put a gun to my head and made me gay. They Live is an excellent story with poor acting. Except Keith David. He is a golden god and i will hear no cross words against his buttery gargoyle voice.
tronvillain
It's very odd when people suggest good movies.
tronvillain
Leviathan is just an excellent movie though. There's nothing to seriously make fun of.
Julie LaVoice
I didn't even remember there was a Smokey and the Bandit 2!
Julie LaVoice
Revenge of the Nerds: This film did not age well despite how much I loved it at the time.
tronvillain
Hell Comes to Frogtown. It's on Tubi, and is the Rowdy Roddy Piper movie that's not good.
Austin Hawks
Class of 1984. Perfect exploitation film of the 80s
Lord Lotech
Remo Williams: The Adventure begins. Fred Ward trying to look cool! Joel Grey in yellow face as a Korean Kung fu assassin master! Kate Mulgrew after the "Mrs. Columbo" money ran out! And Wilfred Brimley as Wilfred Brimley, only more focused!
CarrieBoo
The oh so incredible sequel to Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive...a sweaty, spandex clad, bulge centric Broadway dance epic directed by everyone's favorite action star Sly Stallone.
Alex Hencken
Not the worst (in fact an old chestnut an ex turned me on to in the late 80s early 90s), Penelope Spheeris 1983 "Suburbia". Staring a very young Flea (of The Red Hot Chili Peppers).
MoonRiver
so bad, it used to be the worst thing Bill Cosby was ever associated with!
Erik N Wiseman
Clan of the Cave Bear: hand waving and grunting, the movie. (Ha! Droopy plantain/fruit/whatever.)
Erik N Wiseman
I suggested Xanadu, too! I watched that so many times on HBO as a kid. (I mean, it was the same few movies on repeat each month back then. I think I memorized For Your Eyes Only.)
Garrett Cousino
Came here to suggest this one!
Erik N Wiseman
Xanadu! C'mon, it has a magical roller rink. I also find The Ewok Adventure or Ewoks: The Battle for Endor compelling as "good bad." Damn, I forgot about Ghoulies - that's another "this is bad but sort of fun" movie. Wait: House, or House II: the Second Story would also be fun. I'll just continue my trip down memory lane...
Gertrude Schmidt
Yor, the Hunter from the Future There's a scene where the protagonist uses the rigor-mortised corpse of a giant bat to hang-glide-kick a purple caveman. And that's among the least memorable scenes from this movie!
Mike X
Leonard Part 6
Mockingbird Nation
I would also like to lobby to be a guest masochist if you do this one. I have actual credentials to talk about it
Mockingbird Nation
Best of the Best—it has everything. Eric Roberts doing Tae Kwon Do. Homo erotic bonding moments. Chris Penn trying to be an action hero. ‘We can’t let the girl one ACTUALLY fight’ misogyny. Phillip Rhee trying not to laugh at the white dudes. James Earl Jones phoning in a performance from the surface of the moon via string and can.
Robert Muse
It’s the best and worst of the 80s - commando
Kevin
It was a main stay on channel 5's Sunday matinee along with Beyond Thunderdome and The Guyver.
John F
It’s Fury Road with frogs!
Timothy Lehnerer
Oh, that one's pretty amazing. It plays out a little bit like the movie adaptation of a one-season cartoon that nobody remembers. Five adult orphans live together in the same house, are in the same band, are going to the same college, and are in the same Tae Kwon Do class. They sing songs! They fight crime! One of them is looking for his absentee father! The ending caption is completely opposed to the previous entire movie!
lil-brudder89
I could have sworn they did Miami Connection already
Xeciash Vega
Smokey and the Bandit 2 or 3. I didn't even know there was a 3 until a minute ago
Liz Mancini
Cherry 2000. An incel weirdo hires Melanie Griffith to help him retrieve a sexbot from a post-apocalyptic war zone. The incel thing isn't just window dressing, either. It's the entire point of the movie.
Jennifer Eckert
😂
Jennifer Eckert
lol! It is torture
Morten Worsøe Schoubye
Gosh darn it, you’re right! It’s from 1974. Still deserves to be dealt with as it is horrifically bad.
Alysha L
She-Devil with Meryl Streep and Roseanne Barr https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098309/
Someone in the military mistyped DEI as DUI and that’s how we got Pete Hegseth
Short Circuit. I’m sorry you have fond memories. It is so problematic that it’s hard to watch now.
Robert Muse
And that’s why it would be a perfect episode
WelcomeToFalse
I think you’re describing the franchise after that movie left the theaters. :P
Leon Heartly
The wizard from 1989 it'd about nintendo
Robert Muse
Conan the destroyed
V-Gin
I submit 'She' (1984). - In a post apocalyptic America, She, a fierce warrior who leads a woman's cult, teams up with two brothers searching for their kidnapped sister.
Robert Muse
They would spend the entire run time talking about the pug
Robert Muse
Blame it on rio Death wish 4
Deadeye Nick
I was thinking they did They Love already, but that was.QAA
Deadeye Nick
😯 it has to be a strong association to something.
Richard Smith
Bad movie! Crash! Crash!
Matty B
Was originally going to request Zardoz but i believe thats the 70s.
Taru Tikkanen
Soul Man was bonus ep 39
Richie Mercado
My wife cherishes this movie. She showed it to me and I was lost at wondering who exactly I married. 😂
Milla-Molly-Mandy
Taffin, 1988. Pierce Brosnan plays a fist-fighting debt collectors who takes on evil re-developers to save a children's playing field; deaths ensue. Also starring Alison Doody from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as love interest, and almost the entire cast of Father Ted.
m68ken
Bronson: 30-cal Browning and a Wildey Magnum His black friend: a zip gun
Kajata
Masters of the Universe, 1987, Dolph Lundgren, Frank Langella, and Courtney Cox in a film about He-Man and Skeletor in which a magical synthesiser plays an essential role. What more could you want?!
MoonRiver
"Only through the elimination of violence can we achieve world peace." -the movie's punchline after 80 minutes of solving problems with kickpunching
Christopher Arguin
"The mayor from Spin City"... you mean Brad Majors from Rocky Horror Picture Show? You might as well say that Teen Wolf starred the deputy mayor from Spin City :D
Deadeye Nick
I think I love this
MoonRiver
Death Wish 3, alternate title: "What Your Racist Uncle Has Wet Dreams About"
WelcomeToFalse
And, evidently, the power of friendship is a lot more shirtless and murder-y, than one would expect.
j
For heath... Flowers in the attic 1987.
Jennifer Bourne
Even Christina Crawford thought the movie was ridiculous.
MoonRiver
honestly Mazes and Monsters is kinda main feed material. really hope they get to it tho
MoonRiver
that Razzie is the only thing Trump ever deserved to win
MoonRiver
"our poster's gone!" *dramatic music sting*
MoonRiver
it's been a shitty month, it's gonna be a shitty year... do something nice for yourselves. watch Miami Connection. it's about a rock band named Dragon Sound that does tae kwon do, fights ninjas, and sings about friendship and aforementioned ninja fights. it's dweeby, it's embarrassing, it's 100% sincere, and it's my favorite bad movie
B. King
The mayor from Spin City as a super-soldier with a flying motorcycle in a bandana, mullet, and bodysuit! Yep, that's the worst.
Nolan B.
I will always defend They Live and The Lost Boys as classic horror films.
WelcomeToFalse
I think they may have done Soul Man, already.
marissa haire
"Never too young to die" https://youtu.be/jcu6RxYk9og?si=2Wpofnsu4-nOyYfb Starring John Stamos, Vanity and Gene Simmons
Timothy Addison
Jaws 3 or Ninja 3 :the domination
Laura Williams
Disappointing star appearance, ill conceived vanity project, charisma free cast. It has it all.
TBoneSF
How about movies that everyone thought were "woke" but really are the opposite if you look at them critically? Soul Man- C. Thomas Howell does blackface to learn "racism is bad" but in reality you get a movie by a white writer and director that is "you know what the REAL problem is" Tootsie- Let's break this down. Young, good-looking actor can't get a good acting job because he's an asshole. So despite the fact that >90% of acting roles you could earn a living with are only offered to people like HIM, he decides to disguise himself for a recurring role meant for an older, non-traditionally good-looking woman. That role would be an absolute unicorn and life-changing for the older female actor it was meant for. He not only steals that role, he burns it forever because there's no way they'd recast it and they'd never offer that type of role again (because the audience would be always wondering "is that just some dude in drag"). Half the jokes are lazy "gay panic" jokes and we get to see that women WOULD have equality if they just asked for it but it takes the man in the dress to realize that and just get it done.
King Chris
Omg Harry and the Hendersons would make my year
Flantastic02
Twin Dragon Encounter: the archetypical low-budget 80s action film. complete with a stupid gimmick and galactic levels of vanity on behalf of the writers/directors/stars
Daniel
Howard the duck never fails to disappoint
Jenamarie
Yes they did! With a real bear in one of the scenes too
Richard Smith
Or Deepstar Six, the other “gotta ride those coattails” movie that came out the same year as The Abyss. “What’s a henweigh?”
Venkman's Assistant
Island Of Blood. A movie about a bunch of filmmakers who travel to an island to make a porn movie, but get picked off by a killer who uses a bespoke rock song to tell their victims how they will be killed. I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can, a movie that purports to be the true story of a woman who is addicted to opiates, but actually focuses more on a woman who is dying of cancer being angry that she's misrepresented by a documentary.
Mark H
Highlander II: the Quickening was technically 1991, but it was also the most 80s thing to come out in the 90s.
Richard Smith
Treasure of the Four Crowns (1983), an “homage” to Raiders of the Lost Ark, with very subtle 3D effects and a very pertinent end-credits scene. The best bit: https://youtu.be/PyOovqowURs?si=_X-fR0_czV2GqxH6
Ed “Short Arms” Marcus
Super Fuzz - Ernest Borgnine !!!
Brynley Andrews
Stone Cold. The Boz takes on a biker gang and they end up doing a January 6
Matthew Maxon
Hell yes!!! The *D&D is Devil Worshipping!" Is so bad it's good.
Jillian
yes!
Suzanne August
Shanghai Surprise with Madonna and Sean Penn. Or St. Elmo’s Fire. Terrible then, worse now.
Jillian
they did
Jillian
Miami Connection
The Void's S3 Bucket
Some guilty pleasures of my youth: Ninja Academy - Staring Gerald Okamura Critters
Dr. Nannerz, Ph.D.
Leviathan (1989). A movie with a solid cast, but that rips off every good 70s and 80s thriller ever made. Full of cliches and awful writing, a bad monster, and an over the top evil capitalist corp. It’s Spectacular. My favorite quote: “This whole thing is unnecessary, Doc. The only skin problem I can see is white people. How come you are wearing those gloves? It ain't bend-over time, is it?”
Victor Matesi
Prince of Darkness. Satan is a green ooze in a jar and Jesus (mentioned once) is said to be an alien.
Irregular History Buff
DEATH WISH 3!
Peter Graham
“Raise The Titanic”(1980) !!! The behind the scenes stories are great…
Deadeye Nick
They made a movie of that?
j
Warlock 1989. Julian sands and Richard E Grant just devouring the scenery.
Deadeye Nick
Stop. Labyrinthe is a masterpiece. And an atheist movie, I realized when I watched it again Sunday.
Kevin McGonigle
They literally set up cameras in the women’s bed and bathroom and broadcast the feed and also sold naked photos of a cheerleader to pretty much the entire school. I’m not saying the jocks are good guys but the nerds are definitely not good people. Let’s be honest at least half those nerds grew up to be Elon Musk fans
Peter Paugh
Big with Tom Hanks, The Lost Boys, or Labyrinth
NonMonogaMommy
Yentl.
Ed “Short Arms” Marcus
Steele Dawn with Patrick Swayze & Martin Kove (btw Kove us a Trumper )
James Russell
I wish the crew would go for a bit more Eurotrash, cos there are some marvels to be had in that field. Like The Mad Foxes (1981), the sheer amount of male nudity in which should be more than enough to get them excited. And part of me still wants to hear them tackle Jess Franco at some point, just to hear how they cope with that.
James Russell
I don't think the GAM team could do anything awful enough to make me wish that... thing upon them.
Hangman13182
Tough call on Howard the Duck. Clearly written by cocaine cut with something truly psychedelic. But it was never good, pretty sure people where riffing it when it was still in theatre’s.
Cindi Lynch
Neil Diamond's The Jazz Singer, the 1981 Bo Derek version of Tarzan, Jaws 3-D, the Lou Ferrigno Hercules, Staying Alive, Sheena.
Hangman13182
Yes they do predatory things and there’s the whole moon walk rape bit. The message of the movie holds up though, losers succeeding in letting the popular people know they’re valid as well. And you don’t think the jocks weren’t doing worse things to women off screen.
Hangman13182
Get Tom and Cecil to co roast the movie so Tom can freak out about smart AI! As much as I loved this movie as a kid I have to agree it was bad!!
Hangman13182
Yes!!! People need to know how awful this movie is!
Hangman13182
Nope the simple fact that Flash Gordon has the best sound track to come out of the 80’s makes it good - bad Sci-fi movie. Riffable sure but not god awful worthy.
Gregory F Ladle
MegaForce
Wojciech Kaczkowski
Awesome! Another episode for me to check out.
Hangman13182
Don’t know what your talking about rewatched this back in the fall and outside of some sexism and the fact the main character should have done steroids to beef up it was still great.
Hangman13182
I third this one. Love Chuck Norris as an action star but the movie and chuck norris jokes and bat shittery make this one my top
Mike D
The Phantom 1996. I want to hear the reactions of the guys from the scene involving the microscrope
m68ken
I think Death Wish 3 deserves a spot on this list for sure.
Jennifer Eckert
Dune 1984. I know it’s iconic but it’s also just fucking awful. I couldn’t get through it. Not even Sir Patrick Stewart could make that movie watchable.
Timothy Lehnerer
Here's the score: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hh1yuKBAOw
Timothy Lehnerer
Flash Gordon is simultaneously the greatest and worst movie it is possible to make.
Timothy Lehnerer
Co-signed. Barry Bostwick understood the assignment COMPLETELY, and also did some shadow puppetry that paralyzed me with laughter.
Timothy Lehnerer
Truth or Dare?: A Critical Madness is the Florida Man of slasher movies. It was directed by an eighteen-year-old and the score is eight notes on a keyboard OVER AND OVER AND OVER. The "copper" mask the slasher made in an asylum (???) flaps all over the place when he breathes. And one of the Backstreet Boys is in it, because Florida.
Timothy Lehnerer
Co-signed. You're going to have a LOT of fun with the moose yelling noise the barbarians make over and over.
Panzer
I second this one because of the absolute batshit ending.
Sham Hunter
Yay, I get to suggest “Masters of the Universe” again. It’s terrible. It’s wonderful. It’s stupid. It’s the story of an orphan finding love and saving the universe. Why is she an orphan? Fuck you that’s why.
Alex Greene
Ever try Mac & Me???
Douglas JM
Ewoks: the Battle for Endor. Loved it as a kid but it is not a good movie.
Matt
Wasn’t Porky’s also kinda like that?
Matt
I saw part of it years ago and hoo boy was that weird and bad.
Elvis Manson
Rhinestone
Peter Kyrouac
I 2nd Short Circuit! It was my fav movie when I was like 4 or 5. It still has one of the coolest intro sequences though with all the cables and circuits.
Wustite
Rhinestone means we get to hear Eli’s Dolly impression
Wustite
The Blue Lagoon, or Rhinestone
One I'd Nick
There is a lot to laugh at in that movie. Same with war games. It's a classic, but it's riffable in a great way
Michael Hardy
Just One of the Guys. Joyce Hyser can’t enter a high-school journalism contest because she’s a girl, so she (somehow) disguises herself as a boy. Bonus is William Zabka as the bully, pretty much playing his Karate Kid character with a different name.
One I'd Nick
You ever had a glowing 6 inch finger up your butthole!?
You can just think of me as That One Guy
I'd say SC is mostly pretty good, but then there's that "Fisher Stevens in Brownface" Elephant in the middle of the room, sitting there being casually racist like it's no big thing...
Michael Hardy
None of those qualify.
Samuel Machi
The Barbarians (1987) The Barbarian Brothers star in this sword and sorcery flick. It's dumb fun, but that doesn't make it good.
You can just think of me as That One Guy
Invasion USA - Chuck Norris illustrating why he's the La-Z-Boy dweller's favourite action star, by barely moving, barely speaking, _never_ emoting, and being a massively right-wing piece of shit. In real life, yes, but also in the movie, which he also co-wrote with his brother. (His character doesn't directly espouse MAGA thoughts, thankfully, but the movie is clangingly unsubtle in its subtext. Which is mostly just text.)
Donovan "Ravenhull"
Double feature with Can’t Stop the Music
Taru Tikkanen
That’s bonus ep 63
Michael Colon
Beastmaster One of those movies I loved as a child. And... wow it does NOT hold up. Hoo boy. If you remember liking that movie, do yourself a favor and leave it as a memory.
Wojciech Kaczkowski
Maximum overdrive.
Morten Worsøe Schoubye
Zardoz. It’s the prime example of what cocaine can do for movies.
Kevin
https://youtu.be/JUml88mJxyQ?si=96Vno48hXEHgmaH9
Brett Cocker
Megaforce (1982) Barry Boswick is Ace Hunter. Story about a rapid deployment defense unit that is called into action whenever freedom is threatened. Deeds not Words.
The Fallacious Trump Podcast
Ghosts Can’t Do It (1989) - Bo Derek, ghostly Anthony Quinn and a cameo from Trump! It’s amazingly bad
What do we want, time travel. When do we want it. That's Irrelevant!
I never knew there was a show

Its dated now but that was a fun movie. I loved the MTV show.
Nolan B.
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) Apropos considering we’re getting a new Superman this year (fingers crossed it’s not godawful).
Matty B
Who hurt you? TBH, it is riffable.

Hell Comes to Frogtown (part one or two, doesn't matter)

I just want the guys to sing along to the title song. Queen!

Two votes for Flash Gordon!

Flash Gordon They Live The Lost Boys Reminder, folks, riffing comedies (even bad ones) isnt comedy unless they are dog shit bad. Not sure Howard the Duck is that though it is close.
TheEthicalJerk
The Garbage Pail Kids.
One I'd Nick
E.T. definitely deserves a roast. It isn't actually much better than Mac & Me, just a higher budget...
Turanga Leela
Zapped! Starring Scott Baio and Willie Ames
Brandyn Riffle
They would really need a lawyer with them to watch that one. So many sexual crimes...
Vausch Abendroth
I was gonna say Mac & Me but you already did it. Garbage Pail Kids takes it then.
Jenamarie
Clan of the Cave Bear.
Deadeye Nick
Xanadu
What do we want, time travel. When do we want it. That's Irrelevant!
I know comedies are tougher, but The Cannonball Run could be fun
What do we want, time travel. When do we want it. That's Irrelevant!
Mommie Dearest - The Joan Crawford story
Blue Heron 55
I'd say that "Supergirl" brings out a whole new level of awful!
What do we want, time travel. When do we want it. That's Irrelevant!
The Jazz Singer. Outside of some really good Neil Diamond songs, the movie is garbage.
Joseph Misinec
Duck tits woohoo!
Cave_Dweller
Red Fuckin' Sonja

Howard the Duck. The Marvel movie we deserve
VapeQueen
In these galaxies, every possible reality exists, and what is reality on any one world is mere fantasy on all others. Here, all is real and all is illusion. What is, what was, and what will be start here with the words, "In the beginning, there was Howard the Duck!"
lenbogan
It released in 1990, which means it was*technically* filmed in the 80's, and certainly hits those vibes, but Hardware is a favorite good bad movie. It even features pointless religious nonsense.

So I think this is more on The Rundown levels of good-bad, but Escape From New York
Kevin McGonigle
I think you have to go with the revenge of the nerds. Where the “good guys “ are all sexual predators
Andrew Newell
Mazes & Monsters (1982) Just imagine Tom Hanks saying “I’m going to fly, I have spells”
