It just kind of felt like it was dragging. It felt like there were a lot of undeveloped plot lines that just became what the movie would focus on now and if it resolved instantly? great, if not? Oh well. I don't want to spoil anything so I'm trying to be as generic as possible.

As a Canadian, it's kind of weird to hear people react to this as new information. Like, I've known that you don't call native Arctic peoples that first word for basically my whole life, as it's been treated as at least rude or inappropriate since the 2000s. Not trying to hype myself up for woke points or something, just thought it was interesting that it's almost like a culture shock that a lot of Americans don't know that.

I didn’t pick up on any mean-spiritedness. She just seems sort of worn out by the difficulties of dating men, which makes sense when probably 60% of them think she should have fewer rights and opportunities than them. I’m worn out with men, too, and I am one! I think she’s pointing out that a woman can’t be as selective when the potential pool of respectful men is so small.

I think it is a bit, and it is also true Cara seems to have very specific tastes in guys. Lots of people don't share those tastes and there is someone out there for who you are. But The judgemental view of Tom is pretty well justified considering the guy IS a bad partner.

So I cannot believe that I was the only one who saw this. In the milk and cookies scene right before she gets the iPhone you can see soot cgi effects coming down into the fire. In the movie santa is real and thinks the kid should have an iPhone.

I once read a few comments about the movie version of Crazy Rich Asians where women commenters were glad that the female lead is an economics professor instead of the usual glurge. Also the thing about timestamps is real and why the comments are usually disabled on YouTube videos of kids doing gymnastics.
