Just wanted to say that putting death speak in lower case as an anti reference to Discworld, great stuff.
Matthew Finbow
See, that would be a lot more believable if you two didn't go out of your way to comment on so many posts telling people they are wrong for liking Muppet Christmas Carol. Stating you disagree once is a difference of opinion. Stating it over and over again is just attention-seeking contrarianism.
Matthew Finbow
I don't think I'm overstating things when I say you are history's greatest MONSTER!
Markus D
I am begging people to recognize that sometimes people just don't like something that is popular, and it's not just done because they want to be special.
Markus D
Do you know about Sondheim's "Assassins"? It's got some apt songs.
Markus D
The costuming is good. Not sure about the rest.
Markus D
It might be your favourite, but it's not a very good adaptation when it comes to being faithful.
Markus D
Thank you! I think most people just grew up with that being the first, and maybe only, Christmas Carol they saw as a kid, but it's really not the best adaptation as it loses a lot of the heart of the original.
B. King
More! Heath just Blasphemed the one true religion of Muppetism.
Nathan Burnett
I’m upping my patron level. One request: put out a “best of” episode when you take a week off. Or (like The Daily Beans) an episode you played this week X years ago (The further back the better)
Zachary Happy Trans Kid Mcbortion
Now Heath has to do the coffee enema, as punishment for saying that the Muppets Christmas Carol is bad.
Sparrow
I think they picked up the housekeeper from the 1951 film version? Also, personal pet peeve, but it irks me when adaptations try to be clever by giving Scrooge Charles Dickens' backstory. It changes the character in ways that work against the message of the story. They did that in the Kelsey Grammer musical adaptation as well.
Sparrow
Yeah dude, we get it, you're very different and special for not liking a widely popular thing
Woodsy Boredom
He's right though it's bad
Mees Hilgersom
The tiny letters joke was great, but I don't think many people besides Pratchett fans will get it.
Woodsy Boredom
Don't. Keep pure.
Woodsy Boredom
Especially the snappy felted quips
Woodsy Boredom
All those are the reason it sucks
Woodsy Boredom
Heath is right.
Woodsy Boredom
It simply is not... Read the srory...
Woodsy Boredom
Heath is right. Muppet Christmas Carol = not good. It's a tonal mess. Too many rats. No terror. No fear. Mediocre music. People who say it is good or a good adaptation have not read the story or don't remember it. Micheal Caine's earnest committed performance is lost amidst snarky, sarcastic Muppets constantly undercutting any gravity or humanity in the tale. It's an agonizing experience to watch.
Hillary Johansen
I just bought the newly issued vinyl with the restored "When Love is Gone" version and it is truly, a merry fucking christmas now.
Hillary Johansen
Has anyone heard of this "movie?" It's called Canaan Land and it appears to be about a grifter preacher who falls for a "real" christian and it stars a bunch of pillow faced ladies - one of which - was in the crazy movie Robowoman that they reviewed on RLM? Looks prime for Gam-ing.
Hillary Johansen
GNU Terry Pratchett
Charles Loelius
Also paid vacation I support thus
Charles Loelius
Do Muppet Christmas Carol as secular(ish) bonus plz
Uriah Jackson
Regarding the"angel" of Christmas present, more like Poison Ide(ology).
Wendy
A Muppet Christmas Carol is the best film adaptation of A Christmas Carol and I will die on this hill.
Michael Duchek
But what about Tiny Tom?
cadavermouse
I truly want that on a bumper sticker
CajunRoyalty
I have never seen A Muppet Christmas Carol.
Santa Grimnar, Aspirant to the Priesthood of Celine the cat
I think we all know what the next bonus episode has to be now. I want to hear Eli gushing about how amazing an amazing movie is, Noah realize that no, it's not nostalgia, and Heath be wrong.
Oke518
Just charge us you give us so much already and since it sounds like you guys are going to have to be swapping over to charging us a set rate monthly rather than per episode you might as well get started now put up a pole I for one will vote to pay you for your holiday as you said no jobs paid you for that off and I never gotten it paid off either which isn't right
Chandra
I'd be 100% okay with paying next year as a thank you for another great year
JDK
+1 to the paid vacation. Merry Christmas! 🎁
Jess Ammel
I'm sorry? The music? The impressively historically accurate costuming? The snappy, felted quips? The set design? Michael G.D. Caine? None of that got to you? Heath I am so disappointed.
Matthew Finbow
Excellent, thanks!
Echo Cian
True friendship is Heath hearing Eli begin to get criticism for disliking a song in A Muppet Christmas Carol and picking up that sword he was about to fall on to go jump on a grenade with it.
Chani Orr
Discworld ❤️ Aw. Rip, Pratchett

Give yourselves a paid holiday! I get how the small business owner thing works, you're never really off. But for real, I'm glad you take vacations, now make them paid! I'd happily pay an extra episode. You all work hard and do a lot of great work that I really appreciate.

Mr. Scrooge to See You!
Zach Van Stanley
Wait, is this the second more-Christian retelling of A Christmas Carol they did?
Matthew Finbow
Anyone know which version of this they watched on YouTube? It seems a whole bunch of different churches have recorded and uploaded versions of this terrible musical over the years.
Adam Martin
I think Heaths two punch line of “peanut butter?…chunky!?” Is one of the funniest things in the history of the show.
Denise Huston
No cheeses for us meeces.
Jme Simard
I’d support paid days off - can there be a Patreon option to pay monthly instead of by episode?
Mark Smith
If you can find it. The Blackadder Christmas special is a good watch.
James
Gonzo crawled so we could walk...
James
The Muppets Christmas forever... Heath... Please apologize... Jk
Caldwell
but it DOESNT even scan! I'm here, catching your poetry jokes, I see them lol 👀
marissa haire
"Mickey's Christmas Carol" is superior to the "Muppets Christmas Carol "
Turanga Leela
A Muppet Christmas Carol is the ONLY version to watch. Maybe on the week off we’ll get November’s bonus.
Lora Forsyth
Kicking myself for not using that.
Aaron Irvin
Passion on the Christ: The christianized version of Putting on the Ritz
Aaron Irvin
If Heath became a flavor you can bet he would be sour
Lora Forsyth
I am going to ask GAM to stop hacking my calls to my mother, thanks. Also not liking the Muppet Chirstmas Chaol is proof that Heath was born a middle age cranky man.
Gmork
Next up: Jesusing up The Passion on the Christ!
Gmork
He's even worse to mouses!
Julie LaVoice
I love "A Muppet Christmas Carol." Strong disagree, Heath. Great episode to all of you! Have a great week off!
Everything Important
I want a GIF of “death” walking off after his bow with his hood off and his wavy hair showing.
Dr. Clerk
I will happily do a paid Xmas post as long as you guys catch up on bonuses...
This-is-a-text-message
The Best Worst play I have ever seen (big statement given that theatre is my job) was a community production of a Christmas Carol musical. If I hadn't known the production staff I would have been sure it was a parody.
Aaron Irvin
Marley and Marley! Whooooooooooooah! We're Marley and Marley! Whooooooooooooah!
Sammypt
I remember giving a standing ovation at the end of the Nashville show too! #TeamHeath #HeathIsTheBEST
Laura Lusby
I’m one of those crazy people that took everything and made it more Jesus. I wrote a song called “The Giver of Life” that was a send-up of “Circle of Life.” But. Even I never saw a reason to “Jesus up” A CHRISTMAS FUCKING CAROL. OMG.
Gmork
MEEEEEEEEP!!!
Denise Huston
HEATH
Jessica Bonin
A Christmas Carol is the perfect Christmas story as is. How totally tone deaf to try and remake a classic.
Veronica Barrera
Luigi: The Musical would be amazing! New Patreon goal!
Sarah Deen
I appreciate every Discworld reference, even the ones that are shoehorned.

What are the pot and kettle doing? Engaging in projection and denial?
Denise Huston
Love that Eli's example of obscure carol is Good King Wenceslas.
Jay Voigt
Happy Holidays, heathens! ❤️
