I discovered this piece of propaganda on YouTube because I am a Peter Graves fan. It is hilarious that Peter Graves had to be identified as the "Do you like movies about gladiators?" guy.

You guys describing the lady at the typewriter in increasingly ridiculous ways made me cackle loudly in public. And it was worth it.

The acting classes paying back dividends for Eli with his amazing impression of Linda in this one
Harper Court
Linda is my new favorite movie character.

About Morse code: my dad was a ham (amateur) radio operator and he is still very good at Morse code. Once I sent him an email asking a question about the history of the code and he replied…with an email…written in dots and dashes. LOL
Scheherazade
He’s been doing it so much lately, I thought it was intentional.

See, I was giving this movie too much credit. “Oh, valve is just an old timey word for vacuum tube and the guys don’t know that, so a hydrogen valve will just be some movie version of a super special vacuum tube, the microchips of their day.” Nope, there is a tank of hydrogen…

Thank you Noah, I was screaming SERMON ON THE MONS so loudly in my head, nose bleeding

The general in the Oval office was none other than Tom Keene, Colonel Edwards in Plan 9 from Outer Space.

This pre act 3 skit is one the funniest things I have ever heard
Markus D
That at least makes a lot more sense than what I assume myself and everyone else was thinking.

Fun Fact: Vacuum tubes in 1950's radios were also called "Valves". And one such amplifying tube (a Thyratron) would be filled with another gas like argon or hydrogen for special high-voltage applications. Thus a "Hydrogen Valve" is actually a perfectly reasonable part to put into a high energy space radio, and this was a perfectly sensible movie. (lol)

wait, a religious cult on mars? Cult machanicus "From the weakness of the mind, Omnissiah save us From the lies of the Antipath, circuit perserve us From the rage of the Beast, iron protect us From the temptations of the Flesh, silica cleanse us From the ravages of the Destroyer, anima shield us From this rotting cage of biomatter, Machine God set us free." Also Noah it was the 1950´s there where no " no smoking signs" made untill 1993

but does not mormonism also tell you that you can get your own planet to be God over? does not that invalidate God and earth being special since you can jsut be a god and make your own planet with jesus
KayJayO
Fun mormonism deep cut: I was taught growing up that our planet was special because out of all of God’s planets he created ours was the one where Jesus lived so I always thought there were other planets out there with their own bibles preaching about alien Jesus 😂

A D&D Minus reference! I love when world's collide.

What, a GAM episode on my birthday? Thank you, guys!

Second comment! I genuinely hope they say the same thing about us
Sean Young
First comment! Some of these old movies are a great window into how out of touch with science and reality my father's generation was.
