I know this is old, but this is by far my favorite episode so far. I’ve listened to it three times already and I’m gonna listen to it with my wife later. “I’m Forrest Whitaker, come get me ,Mom.” Is comedy fucking gold and gets me laughing just thinking about it.

I feel like Life After People has ruined post apocalypse stories where there's ruined buildings everywhere centuries after the end of the world. Because of that show we now know almost everything aside from the Pyramids and Grand Canyon would be gone in a few centuries.

"I hear the book is much better than the movie..." So, that's a complex topic. Yes, the movie was poorly executed and also, left off the back half of the book. However, the part of the book they used is god awful all on its own, and the back half of the book is a dull macroeconomics course, as strained through a colander previously used for extracting psilocybin. This episode of GAM was far more enjoyable than either or both.
