The apologetic I got (Southern Baptist, I unironically read the first few Left Behind books when they originally released) is that Satan doesn't believe the prophecies. Consider: Lucifer, the fallen angel, didn't agree with God when he was originally evicted from heaven. If he didn't agree with God at the beginning of time, why would he agree with God at the end? Satan is following his own playbook, which he's convinced will succeed. He's just wrong, because of the plucky adventurers led by K-Sorbs who is guided by the hand of God himself.

I thought that a 10-character password without any second-factor authentication to get full access to the WORLD CURRENCY was the high point. Boy was I in for a treat when 110 million lines of code was "suspicious" for a Facebook platform (that's pretty much *exactly* the order of magnitude you'd expect; for comparison all of Google's code is over 2 billion lines), AND THEN THE GUY READ IT LINE-BY-LINE BY HIMSELF AND UNDERSTOOD IT. I would *love* to get my hands on whoever thought that's how anything works and be like hey buddy, here's just a 10k line program. If you figure out what it does before sunset you get a million bucks. You can even call the renowned cybersecurity expert Mike Lindell to brainstorm on it.

Re: Heavenly Spectators I probably would've told you that people in heaven could see people in hell, if asked when I was Southern Baptist. The tldr is 1 - "Heaven" is perfect 2 - "Perfect" includes perfect knowledge 3 - "Perfect knowledge" includes knowledge of the goings-on in hell I thought of it more like a palantir (Saruman's orb from Lord of the Rings), tho. I remember my first boss, who belong to a local Bible church, (I was working at Waldenbooks, yes I am old) always tried to get me to read the Left Behind books. She even gifted me the first one when I left the job. When I got hired I told them it was against my religion to work on Saturdays (it was not, which seems obviously to write out here) because I wanted to take advantage of the extra rights given to the religious in America. She never said it, nor, to be fair, was she ever openly cruel or bigoted (one of the better boss I have had, sadly) but I think she thought was Jewish.

I’m embarrassed of being able to “Well, actually” this, but in the Left Behind book series, they make it very clear that you can only become a Christian up until you get the mark. After that you can lie on the ground screaming and crying to Jesus to save you from the plagues and he’ll just be like, “Sucks to be you!”
