I actually worked on, and am in the sequel! Unfortunately, as commenters have said upthread though... It's, uh, not good (not even in a good-bad way)... But the cast was nice at least!

Tommy Wiseau did a huge line of bath salts and asked "but what if I fucked my sister?" Samurai Cop 2 is art and perfectly replicates what mixing bath salts and ergot fungus together feels like.

The way the guys kept saying, "Akamura" or maybe it was "Awkamura" when describing Okamura was kinda bizarre for me. Noah is a proud pedant that can utter the names of unpronouncable European volcanoes, seemingly with ease. I'm sorry, but if you can practice zxkjyfdyunplk enough so you can get a clean take for the record, you can take the 5 seconds to remind yourself that in Japanese, the O makes the O sound.

Ok, I just watched the sequel....twice. I implore you, don’t bother. They tried to cash in on what made the original great, and just ended up making a really bad movie that didn’t get the original joke. I can’t quite work out of they intentionally made an intelligible plot though, or just failed at that too. It’s not a good bad movie, it’s just woefully bad in a bad way. Very disappointed and baffled.

Thank you to all the heroes who recommended this to the guys. I had to watch it after listening to the episode and I am so glad I did. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much as at the start of the sword fight where they approach each other from opposite ends of the Appalachian Trail. Oh no Noah, I recognized Evil Cecil as the late-great Robert Z'Dar. Star of such films as Tango & Cash and the Maniac Cop series. He's my second favorite B movie star behind only Joe Estevez.

I was at the grocery store listening to this when I realized at the 35 minute mark that "evil Cecil" was robert Z'dar. I was laughing so hard I was crying in the middle of the soup aisle.....fucking great!!!

As a sword nerd, "Katana means Japanese sword" is extra wrong because like any country that made swords, there are a BUNCH of Japanese swords. The katana is specifically the sword with the curved single-edged blade that's usually in the "medium" size range of Japanese swords. So it's kind of like if you called all swords used in Spain "rapiers" because it's the only sword you've heard of that they used.
